Know this is totally late but... I want Stripper Calibur gone for this reason. If I make a cool custom outift for CAS or Tira for example... I don't want it to fly off when I spent time on making it. I gave them the outfit to wear, not have it fly off and leave my characters in their undies >.<
Looking at that match with Maxi, it seems that they might let clothing disappear again.

I actually didn't mind the armor breaking...not a huge loss. I do admit having an option of whether or not to have armor/clothing break would be a lot better. Either way I'm hoping the custom creation mode is even better than 3, 4, and broken destiny. I hope we have a lot more options for equipment/clothing as well. So much could be added if they bothered to put the items in.

My Pleas:

1. Give us back the layering system from SC3. It bothers me when you can only either wear a shirt or a piece of thick armor, and then some stretchy spandex undies or tattoos. Your choice.
2. Give us younger face options. I think everyone understands me when they know that nearly all their CaS's have the same face, just in different shades of skin tone.
3. We want less douchey voice options. It annoys me to know that some of the CaS voices had the perfect personality, but they sounded like angry ducks when attacking and getting hit during a battle. Please, don't put so much emphasis on the "ugh!" or the "ooh!", and make it sound natural.
4. More hair customization. Okay, someone out there probably wanted to make Ulquiorra Cifer from Bleach, or Light Yagami from Death Note, or even Lelouch Lamperouge from Code Geass. But they probably ended up with something that had less than a passing resemblance to any of the said characters. Main problem here? Hair.
5. I want my boxer shorts.

Hell yes!

Here are my list of wants for CaS in SCV, which I will list even though they mostly are redundantly expressing what others have already said:

  • No Stripper Calibur, please. I'd prefer if they completely removed equipment destruction, but if they must keep it, make it like the P1 costumes worked and tear instead of explode off (as others have put it).
  • More voices.
  • BETTER voices.
  • More movesets (unique ones, like in SC III, as well as guest characters' styles, AND some older characters styles that have been removed).
  • MORE LAYERS
  • More customization options, like hair/eyes/whatnot. And I'd like to be able to make the two eyes different colors.
  • No more ultra shiny/radioactive hair and clothing.

I don't really know why you guys complain so much about SCIV's CaS. To me, as long as they make the clothes actually break and not disintegrate, and they make it a requirement for a character to have at least to colors (or for consequence, have more than just one color in the very first option of the color menu) we'll be more than fine. Besides, it's not like we really need CaS.

I think that anything related to the fighter itself just need a little tweak here or there; but what really upsets me is that you can't edit anything else than just how it looks. Yu ou should be able to determine who it's related characters are (team, destined battle, etc) set a stage for him/her, and that kind of stuff.

And PLEASE, don't put real characters and CaS crap in the same online mode. Not everyone wants to see your rendition of Naruto or whomever generic character you make. Make a separate mode so that kids can play with their freaking Final Fantasy/Naruto/Ronald McDonalds or whatever "character" they make, and real players can really play.

But I like my Col. Sanders....

I do have to say though having a separate online mode for regular cast and create-a-souls is actually a very good idea.

Shura's was a carbon copy of Cervantes, so no, I dont think that counts. A true dual katana/ katana-wakizashi style would be the legendary Two Heavens technique, made famous by Miyamoto Musashi.
Yeah, it would've been better if Shura have her own movesets.

Yeah, I mean there's like 5 people online that have good CaS, but that's like out of 900 per day.

It's been said before, but I'll say it again: Give us unlimited CaS save slots! 50 was too few.
Otherwise I agree with most of the ideas, not sure about cutting out equipment destruction though. Sometimes it was fun setting up a mid match surprise. Maybe some options regarding this?

Imho, I think 50 is good enough. If I had 100 CAS for instance, I'd would most likely forget some "good but not great" creations I've made. I mean, I only pay attention to the ones that really are worth it compared to the just "good" ones. Anything else that's just similar and/or just seems meh, usually gets deleted out of making room for new creative ideas or so.

I think most people are hitting the nail on the head here. I personally want all the old characters outfit pieces individually selectable. To be specific, I want Yoshi's SC3 octopus mask.. So bad. That, and more varied sized armors. It seems like in sc4 it was either Nightmare sized armor, or cloth. I want some light armor. More items viable for the smaller characters/swift-footed styles. that's what I want. But especially Yoshi's octo mask lol

What I would find to be a welcome addition is face molding. It's a little lame to see the SAME kind of character and the SAME faces and the SAME colors... I believe that if CAS (especially original characters) had a personal touch (at least from the more creative) CAS would be a little more engaging. That and I can be a narcissist and make myself. To watch me get pwnd. Over and over again. Hmmmm. ON SECOND THOUGHT.... I like Shoes. Yep. Shoes...

I like to think of myself as one of those 5. I even get compliments on how nice my characters look. I spend a good about of time making each individual person because they come from stories that I take time making (starting from middle school). I'm a hardcore casual player which means I play the game with competitive like skills but not a competitive mentality. I don't get upset when some one picks a CaS character and murmur about, "the hit boxes and frames are so different!" I don't talk about frame traps and all that lingo even though I think about it subconsciously sometimes. I don't play to win-as tournament and competitive people call it. I play for a good time. Yes I get a little frustrated if someone constantly uses lag tactics online or if someone 2Ks me for the win but then a lot of people do.
And if someone wants to pick a CaS character to add in their own little persona to the fight then Daggonnit, let them.

but in all seriousness fighting a CaS character isn't that bad. yes some of them look dumb but that's how a person wants them to look. I don't entirely mind it unless its a buff man with that bra looking thing and has the girliest fighting style. that disturbs me and actually makes me ponder about the creators state of mind.

This,absolutely this

As much i like CaS
As much i like to see that 5% of good CaS

I buy SC, i buy with my money pro chara designer works too
I want to see high quality SC characters, not "your" ugly fantasy shit or fail try of re-create xxx character

I repeat,i like CaS and my friend even ask to play using my CaS,but give me a "only official" option and i will probably use nearly only it

Another thing,CaS hitboxes are wrong and this make even more fail the online mode

I agree with Gatsu. We dont see a lot of good CASes out there. And whats this about hitboxes?
different throw ranges, some combo don't work the same if CaS are involved and shit like that

Online sadly in SC4 is yet a different game from offline version, why add CaS shit problems?
The option is the best solution,it make happy both who want play SC and who need to show his famous recreation, red&black(read the thread in CaS lol :D) or magic fantasy girl CaS

As said as much i like quality CaS,i will personally ever play with the "pure SC" option,my eyes will say thanks :D

I myself only will play as a CaS when the opponent does (as I know mine are bad) but a separate mode for CaS is really needed. Hopefully they realize this too. I do hope we see a classics only option in V. Can't tell you how many times I've been beat by crappy looking Final Fantasy Characters.

This sounds EXACTLY like me. I'm a writer (even started around middle school) and most of my CaS characters are from a story I've written and I put a great deal of care into making them.

Cyber high-five!
