I decided to go with 120x80... not to big, but big enough with a wide ratio...

how about something like SRK does that the premium members (if you're doing the donation privilege thing) get to have larger avas. I like the way it is so far.

Okay... here's how I did it...
Registered Users: 100x100 (static images)
Premium Users: 100x150 (animated images)
NO USERS can have signature images... sound good?
As for working on the template for these forums... I'm looking into something with a white background (easier on the eyes), and 980 pixels in width.

100 x 100 sounds good for regular avatars. I'd prefer to have a sig pic option (though small), but it's no big deal to not have one.

The way you have it setup is good. 100x100 is just fine and no pics in the signature is nice.

Pics in sig gets annoying quick. Lots of forums (if possible) I turn off sigs because of how distracting they get.

Most of the manga forums I go to don't have the option and those people will have a million pics in their sigs if you let them.

As for animated avatars, right now they are reserved for Premium members only... this is to save on bandwidth until we get enough funds. If we get enough funds, then in the future, I could possibly enable it...
