SF4 Subsection?

SRK is becoming to the point where I can't stand it, it's always busy and it's always down, is there anyway we could get a SF4 subsection here on 8wr, i'm not trying to change 8wr into a SF site but just a subsection for it to discuss i would guess.
so is there anyway we could?

Sc4 and Sf4 on here would be cool.
 
Just wondering, would 8wr be able to maintain even a third of shoryken's traffic? sc.com was having major issues with just several hundred users, and lately srk has been sustaining over 4000 users. It would be horrible for 8wr to go down just because a non-trivial amount of people heard about an sf4 subforum.
 
Whoa whoa, this isn't about making 8wayrun the new SRK. It's just about putting in a little subsection for 8wayrun members to discuss the game. SRK is and will be the place to go for in depth discussion about SF games.
 
Hm I get both sides of this. As much as I'd like a SF4 section (Seeing as we already have other sections not dedicated to SC) it's a little different from a general lounge or art section. This is a completely different game. So I understand the worries, since this is an SC site, so I suppose I would feel like we were straying from the original purpose a bit. It's the higher ups' choice, pretty much.
 
I'm laughing at the ... irony ... of "8 way run" catering the least bit to an over-hyped 2D fighter.

What is this, SRK jr? Hell naw. There's several places you can go for SF4 info and there's a big ass discussion thread for SF4 already. SF4 is great, but it's not so fucking awesome to the point where a dedicated section is needed inside a forum dedicated to Soul Calibur.
 
No. Then we'll get requests to make a Tekken subsection, a GG subsection, and a KOF subsection. Then people will start asking for subsections for Madden and Halo and Call of Duty. Face it, most of us will get tired of SF4 after a few weeks anyway. Is it that hard to just find another forum?
 
exactly. there is already a sf4 thread in the video games discussion forum. that's more or less your subsection right there. for all video games not just street fighter.

Yes, because SRK is now a smash brothers forum just because they decided to add a Smash subsection.

I guess this community wouldn't be able to handle a 2d fighter subsection anyway. It would be filled with ban talk and lots of whining.
