Whenever i am playing w/ my brother or friend they always say that my Kilik is cheap. YYYYYYYYYY??????? He isn't that cheap is u don't spam... any ideas???

any characters can be cheap if your playing online but if your playing offline then it's all fair. usually when someone gets their ass kicked they tend to call the other cheap lol.

k. btw (again) my bro is always a Yoshimitsu. He is really good. Beats me most of the time. Any strats against a yoshi for kilik???

i can only suggest to learn Kilik's Asura Dance. it's a great move against most characters in the game. if you want combo's check out Kilik general discussion. lots of good stuff there.

if only us nooby yoshi players could interrupt a TJ move with a special low..lol. and i don't think anyone calls him "the master of cheapness." Sounds like a 1980's cartoon...

Kilik is regarded as cheap by noobies because it's very easy to do seemingly impressive moves with him that beginners simply can't cope with. An advanced kilik will play EXTREMELY different than a novice one as those tactics would be free GIs/CHs to decent players. I can think of far cheaper characters though.

I don't play against Yoshi much, but in general you need to be playing Kilik at mid-to-long range, typically outside most characters effective fighting range. Learning how to maintain spacing with Kilik really helped me get past the plateau I was in not too long ago.

Outside of spacing, I would say go back to basics. Block and punish.

Figure out what moves your brother likes to use that you can punish after blocking. Chances are your brother relies on several unsafe moves that you don't realize are unsafe (he likely doesn't either). Find them and start punishing them with 6AA (6AAA isn't guaranteed).

As for combos, watch some vids of guys like Something-Unique and Hayate playing Kilik. See what's working and try it out. You will soon begin to develop your own playing style with Kilik that works for you, but every Kilik player I've seen uses same tools, just in their own way. If you can visually recognize the moves then you don't have to understand the notation right off the bat, but the notation is important.

thanx td2985. But my brothers favorite moves are his lows, unblockables, and my least favorite move the Soul Siphon grab. Becuz yoshi is a soso speed character how could i balance low to medium blocks w/ time in between to punish w/ some of Kilik's better moves???????

The unblockables should be fairly easy to beat. That's just visually recognizing them and reacting accordingly (you can usually side step most unblockables).

First off, I'm sure most of Yoshi's lows are rendered ineffective if you manage to maintain your spacing. They probably don't have the range to hit. The second I can't help with. I don't know Yoshi at all...

K. thanx for the advice if i tie all this info together maybe i could beat my brother. i started to pick up xianghua so that i could throw off his timing. i will try to space myself well. i usually play more offensive medium range style. i'll try

i don't this he is cheap, but many of his moves are way overpowered...i think there are a few 2 move combos that take 40%+...many of this moves (because of his reach) counter and lead to massive damage with very little exectuion....

at least, thats online

He has a very good balance of speed range and power, which makes many new players feel he is unfair.
Although him vs Mina is completely unfair as he is generally faster, has similar range and does more damage. I won't say he is always unfair, but compared to certain characters he is a little too good.
ps. who isn't too good against mina.

When did Bo start using manji carve?
He never uses it on me..........also general stratagy just learn when hes gonna go low

Well he uses it rarely but he mostly uses Rising Kite~Super Manji Dragonfly. and Ben (hellriffle) u no he uses Soul Siphon alot, along w/ lows. but he balances low w/ mid so it is difficil

SC4_Fanatic I'll play you right now and see why your friends are complaining. I won't complain I just want to see what's making them so mad.

Add my PSN and i'll be online in 5 minutes.
