T.i.T8 vid thread, Hates vs sWord_lord MM

Scooby picked up some games on me here and there, but my stick was fucking up (and has since died), so I wasn't really playing my game. It was equal parts frustration and boredom once I realized I could fuck around.

And Nori, I don't think my placing or my one match against Agustin's Mitsu are really representative of the matchup as a whole because I couldn't execute and scrubbed it up as a result.

No, of course not, but it's an example. Top player vs top player. Just like I do vs him ALLL the time. I just don't see how the matchup is 6:4. Cervantes has to work just as hard as Mitsu. Mitsu can get away w/more things vs Cervantes, and vice versa.

And yes, your stick blowing out sucks balls. I had that happen to me and I couldn't play the same either
 
all I know is, it was like an aura of FAIL was coming from that room we were in. MJ couldn't land one doom combo, Hates couldn't jf it up (although it was broken stick), i saw Cedric failed more combos than i've ever seen him fail, i couldn't do FoTD for the life of me (and that started pissing me off). JOP LOST. I mean something had to be drugging the room.
 
Those vids were fun to watch.

I'm kinda glad sword lord is such a shit-talker, because if he was humble and stuff online, then beating him in a first to 10, and seeing him lose a first to 10 wouldn't seem nearly as satisfying. Never change, Mr. Lord!

No, that's just using idiot logic there. Sure enough if he would've stayed amy the whole time, at best he would get lost 10-4 agasint hates. Cervy punished amy really hard. And it became evident later on in the series. But no one punishes amy harder then the sisters. It maybe kinda explains why he beat me....(no it really didn't....lol oh well)

Don't compare one persons amy to another. Personally, i would take that fight if at best 10-7 and would still lose to hates. if his execution was solid. OR....ID WHOOP THAT ASS!!!!!!!.

all jokes asides, There are a few good reasons why i said that amy was terrible. The lord knows why and having him not ditto me again because of the tournament. That is sad. I guess i can see why RTD wanted some amy practice against me and i didn't give it to him. But in the end.

I don't respect his amy.

updated with a few more, winner's finals and grand finals will be up this evening.

Also, RTD vs Ice was probably the best match I got on tape, everyone should watch it.

Damn its bad enough Sword Lord agreed to such a match and then to top it off he let everyone bitch him into taking his money. Hahaha priceless!

I don't know all of Amy's moves:( There is one that she does, it's fast and he gets aB off of it. Her 4A, you can punish w/aB. She's not exactly safe against him like she is against most chars

I concur with Alex J. How many characters have lows that cervy CAN'T punish with WS A? Unless by "punishing" you mean stuff like WS A after being hit by amy 1A so you beat her 6BB (which happened a lot in the vids).

it is a FACT that he did better with amy than the other characters. better=win more. winning > cool points. I think you need to read this thread http://www.8wayrun.com/f69/who-would-you-consider-the-better-player-t4042/ maybe he doesn't do better against YOU with Amy but he apparently does better vs Hates with her (than say, sophie)
 
Well, when quite a few Amy players tell me Cervantes gives her a hard time, I tend to take their word for it. Mitsu can do 1A all day on Cervantes. You have a VERY small window to punish it w/iGDR. If not, all you get is 6k. 2K, B you can punish w/iGDR/3B. Not every char gets punished w/lows (by WS A) as you think.

I do agree w/both of you that out of all of Sword Lord's terrible chars, Amy was clearly his best one. It's not saying much but still.
 
nori i'm telling you... amy can punish soo much of cervy's moves... that match is in amy favour...buy a lot. T_T

edit... i'm not saying cervy can't win...i'm just saying amy got the advantage...
