====== DOUBLE POST AUTO-MERGE ======
I don't suffer from delusions of grandeur, I know that there are at least a few Ivy players that are better than me, but this whole thing just adds up in a really weird way.

1.) This guy is on Xbox Live, and I haven't ever really heard of him? I mean come on, I have spent way too much time on Xbox Live, gamefaqs, and 8wr...this guy would have to live in a cave with no computer.

2.) When I asked you what stood out about his playstyle that made him better than me, you mentioned the exact things that you suggested I add to my game a week prior?

3.) You didn't add this super amazing Ivy player to your friends list after you played him (yeah I'm a stalker, I checked)?

4.) Don't get me wrong, you and Dragon (and myself for that matter) aren't the best players in the world but I still have trouble believing that some random player came in and roflstomped you and Dragon like that.

Produce this Ivy player! If he's better than me, I still win, because I will learn from him!

Also, I heard Spurious' Taki got alot better, I would like to have some fun sessions with him. (Spur: Maybe we can also have some Hilde and Amy mirrors and we can all laugh at my pathetic attempts to pick up a secondary, who knows?)

Whoa there anne frank....you obviously need to shave your vagina, in order to get to spurs Taki you gotta get through mine first!

NoFace: SCIV is fairly cheap via eBay. I believe it was going for $15 at one store last week, but they ran out before I could tell ya.

Lazy because there is no challenge anymore, why waste even $15. Better stock up for FF13 lol; it is after all a very different FF games.

Hey guys, I'll be back on XBL more often now. I'll mainly be playing online to train for the offline GAMME tournament in June, so that means I'll only be playing 5 bar matches, and maybe very good 4 bar ones where I'm able to mimic offline play effectively, and against people who don't use lag tactics. So if I boot you, it's no hard feelings, it will only be because of one of those two reasons. My current GT temporary is KitamFu. Send me a friend request if you want to play. :)

ur just running around in some big world and then you do some turn based fighting then watch some long cg scene with graphics way better than the shitty gameplay graphics. somethin about it I don't like. that game and world of warcraft, it's better than warcraft tho. i mostly just like fast paced shit, with shooting, fighting, racing, etc. GTA, Burnout, Ninja Gaiden (reminds me, I still need to beat NG2).

Oof- I don't see how you use online to train for offline. seems like it would only serve to degress you. I would stop playing online altogether if I really cared to get in shape for a tourney, but whatever works for ya.

I personally find the good outweighs the bad in terms of affecting my game when I play online.

Assuming I only fight under good connections and against non-lag tactic users/people who mimic offline play, these are the positives and negatives of online play in terms of affecting my game:

Positive effects:

Helps improve my mind games and adaptation.
Helps me gain more experience on how to fight certain characters (dealing with strings/tech traps/mixups/mindgames etc.)
Helps me learn how to use new characters.
Forces me to react to certain things better.

Negative effects:

Screws up my offline GI, JF, and combo input timing.
I can't step or space properly online, so I can never truly mimic my offline play.

I can easily fix the negative effects of online play by not playing online and only sticking to offline for a couple of weeks before the tournament. And I will also not be using either of my mains online (Vader and Lizardman). So in the end I feel I will get more good out of it than bad.

FF is not half bad in terms of graphics, I may buy just for that reason. If you only saw the process of making the CG. I only play games with excellent graphics, like Ninja Gaiden 2, RE5, both I already beat in hard mode so now am waiting for the next game.

Where does one get 5 bars for online? Of all the time I've been playing online since the game came out, I only got probably 5-10 people with 5 bars. And usually those 5 bars turn into 4 during the match.

I can see what ur sayin about the learning new characters (I'd personally prefer to learn how to use characters by playing against the AI tho)
that negative effect is HUGE for me cause that's a high percentage of my game.
You and RTD can play online without the lag affecting you much but some can't. RTD is like incapable of even recognizing lag in Calibur, doesn't bother him cause he doesn't even see it. His game is based more on having really good mixups, urs too I think, cept ur more aggressive. Anywayz, I'm prolly goin to that tourney too so see ya there. I'm not interested in training hard cuz either way I'll prolly lose to some Hilde or Amy, so I'll prolly see you online too.

Well I'm open to any challenges if anyone wishes to spar with the amazing Pocky Yoshi.
He is quite silly! Hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe ^-^"
But after some homework and some job applications, I'll come on to cross blades with thy X-boxers.

I'll create a session, and I have you meet Owari to do Yoshi's session. Let me be the great spectator.

AWWWW. Thats too bad I was actually looking forward to fighting your vader. Its ok though. I do have one suggestion to solve that problem. See you can use your mains online but when there is a tourney coming up keep your mains offline for like one month. (maybe longer if need be) That way you can get back your GI/JI, and JF timing while still expieriencing the new playstyles people have from online play. If you think its safer to keep them offline and never lose the timing thats cool. This is just an idea from a person who plays TIRA. lol

id also say when online and training for a tourney just play ppl like 2-3 times to see what shit will work before most adapt to it and what not cause we all know offline tournies are pretty much who gets away with the most and best gimmiks.

You sound like you have no idea what you're talking about. If you expect to rely on gimmicks alone in a tournament, you won't get too far.
