Master Chief could use an Energy Sword as his primary weapon, and it's not as if Cervantes doesn't have a gun anyway.
Let's get some Castlevania characters in. At least there you have a variety of characters with all sorts of weapons at their disposal. And they could do to them what they did to Link and give them shitty sub-weapon attacks! Brilliant!
...screw guest characters.
This I agree with, since Judgment was a disaster.Anytime prior to Lord of Shadow being announced as an actual Castlevania sequel, i would have said hell fuck no, but now i'd say if LoS does great, then sure.
and told, and told, and told.
They should do this thing with Tekken where they swap a character or two. There's the problem with the weapons, but Heihachi was in SCII so eh.
I know this discussion has been dead and over-with for a week or so, plus everybody had to be throwing ideas around since forever, but something has recently come to mind that i doubt anyone has considered but might work. So i'll just throw it out and leave the thread alone from here out.
With the recent release of Tekken6, something popped up that bothers me a bit. What ever happened to Ogre?? Was he really disliked so much? I actually liked him and think that he might work as an xbox exclusive guest for a few reasons.
First off, he's green and before you laugh at me for bringing that up, consider visual marketing with what is pretty much accepted as the standard color for xbox. The decision to pick Yoda for xbox reinforces this.
Secondly, he fits better in SC than Tekken being as old as he is and wearing armor. Especially if we are to believe SC and Tekken is in the same world, which i assume is the case since Yoshi is in both games so Ogre would have to be alive and well during SC time-frame.
Lastly iirc, i believe Ogre was supposed to some sort of Mayan war deity. Again, could be wrong on that but i thought that was the case. Now this point depends on weather or not Kratos stays as a PS3 exclusive guest. Either in a brand new game or if they decide to actually move Broken Destiny to consoles. In the case of BD, its a problem for xbox owners because we all know Kratos will never step foot on a xbox game, ever. Ogre might fullfill a war-god theme in this case if thats what Namco wants to go for. Plus throw in the fact that there wont be any licensing issues to deal with on this one.
Now, obviously there is a tremendous gap in popularity between Ogre and Kratos. Most people will recognize Kratos but then take one look at Ogre and be like; "Who the fuck is that?". So you know, not the best idea but perhaps as a last resort, maybe. I dont think most of the ideas being thrown around would work mostly due to licensing issues or because the characters just dont fit well in SC. I doubt anyone will find this idea any better but in the case of xbox exclusives, there aren't a lot of options. Most candidates are on both systems anyway and all the good xbox rpgs have user created characters which obviously cant be used. Of course, my first choice is always no guest characters at all, but the reality of the situation is that we probably haven't seen the last of them.
(So that means the could get rid of algol *crosses fingers*)
Also, I think he was killed or something in Tekken after T3, but if he were to feature in a SC game, they could somehow work around that.
Oh and the Yoshimitsu in SC is different from the one in Tekken. One is a decendant of the other, though they have the same name.
