I may be wrong on the Rock thing. But, n my experience I found his poor step, large frame, movement speed an issue. He has no moves that can slide under them or TS around them. His range is very poor and moves that do reach have a long start up. Take into the account Algol can mix in 2A+B to keep up spacing and make 1A whiff, I've always had a huge issue with this match up. Rock needs to be close to deal damage and Algol can just play keep away with the bubbles and poke you to death.
 
Why are you all arguing about Rock? it's FREAKING ROCK! if he was SC2's beserker, there wouldn't have been a question who'd win that fight. ALL ROCK 7:3

Idle- None of them will be there either. Anyways for those to illiterate to keep up... Nothing is set in stone, other than the tourney happening. Those of us who actually show will make an acceptable ruleset for all involved, on the spot... it's not fucking rocket science.

Well first off before we even discuss rules on how this goes down, lets establish how it will even occur. Where's this going to be held? Off to the side or in a hotel room? Who's hosting? Who's holding the money? What days/Time? How many people does it look like will show?
 
Should we start a tourney announcement in the correct place? WHen Jer told me that this is gonna go down that is the first place I looked, and I was saddened not to find any discussion there, but instead, in this super old thread that should be long dead.
 
Like Idle said, ChaCha isn't changing national tournament rules; it's one side-tournament that most of you probably won't even make it to - just chill.

List a GOOD reason why she should be banned, instead of the god complex? There is no bandwagon, it's just pretty shocking to even consider that. And for all you know, a lot of us will be showing up. You don't know. So instead of pissing people off who might come, maybe simply explain your reasoning, instead of what you usually do, which is just attack people.

I'm not implying that he can't, i'm saying that he's not like what he's used to in SC2. I was just saying that his best version was SC2.

All jokes aside, i can see why you all are saying why you're setting that Ruleset, however i don't agree with it, especially since you may grab some travelers that are ONLY going to SC. And if they're not taking it seriously, then you all should have just a low-tier tournament
 
Rock has infinite ground throw combo! I've seen it on teh onlines!

Someone did bring up a good argument though. As apt as I am to throw the ban hammer at Hilde...this is only going to be a small side tourney and I don't think we're really gonna have to worry about a large swarm of high level Hildes. The odds of her really ruining things is slim. So I dunno.

I still say thee Amy ban is absolutely silly though. No high level player is gonna support that flaming bandwagon.

My opinion, just go with current tournament standards. They're accepted by the competitive community and have seemed to make a lot of people happy. If you want to play something outside that, there will be plenty of money matches :/
 
The Evo schedule is up at SRK, so we should be able to use that to plan a time for the SC4 side tourney. It looks like they're running SSF4 pools pretty much all day Friday, so Saturday is probably the most open day...
 
Fe Fi Fo FUM! Someone is arguing something Dumb! Stick with the current ruleset of algol/hilde custom. Everything else isnt up for debate. Quit acting like it is. The community came to a decision and stick to it.
