Itz nice to see IceColdEdge going strong with Siegfried.

As for Nori, I was surprised to see him abusing so many unsafes commonly BBB, but there are other unsafes he abused that I need to check back on the vid. IMO, I think on that day Nori plays too much on the offensive; maybe he forgot to take the online safety goggles off ;P, but NEwayz I think Nori can do better than that. That day wasn't his day.

Also Chickenwing do you have an older SC4 vids of Nori playing Cervantes. The only part I've seen is him vs DrakeAldan and this one.

We do, this tournament was planned before the east coast banning. Don't worry tho, Mashfest will cater to the community's rules as far as things not being allowed.

Fran - his cervy is a little unique. Honestly, you really can't play 100% safe with Cervy because he has alot of unsafe moves. So you do need to take SOME risks.

anywho...i just laughed at more of Sword's post than anything....made my day!

Although he was playing more unsafe than the average cervy there wasn't much reason not to cause his opponents never punished anything, but BBB is just bad i see no reason to CH fish with this move over 2A+B.

NO Sir! B and BB is fine, you just hit check the BB for counter and follow with the third B. I'm surprised you said that. BB fishing for counter hit is WAY better than 2A+B. aB is also better at getting counter than 2A+B. Cervy doesn't have to use 2A+B at all.

Chickenwing, I told you I like to play against Amy as little as possible cause it's not fun, not cause I thought I would lose (since u know...I already beat u).

how is BB/B better it's more unsafe, leads to less dmg on CH, gives no oki on CH, they're the same speed, doesn't force crouch, and they're equally steppable i dont see the reasoning here unless you just find it easier to land.
 
B is a good check move and you can continue the offensive after it's blocked. BB is more unsafe than 2A+B but it depends on who you're playing and what character they're using. BB on block against most people (including really good players) puts you in a better situation than 2A+B. Sophie is the only real character not to do BB against, but even then it depends on the player playin against it (Sophie get 236236B, 236236B:4 on blocked BBB, yummy). And yea, BBB is easier to land counter on and I believe both B and BB have slightly better range.

It is the same speed as 2A+B...
 
but I don't think the range is the same. Ok, another point....BB is mixup with a grab, but 2A+B is a shitty grab mixup. You can be going for a BB/grab mixup and come up with counter to get BBB, so it's more of a multi-purpose move. 2A+B is for counterhit only so it's not very useful.

Well the Setsuka player did. Even if your opponent doesn't punish you're at a great disadvantage and are prone to mix-ups. I think fishing with CH2A+B is better because you can do mix-ups as well as tech traps.

Chickenwing, I agree that there are some risks Cervy players should take but I definitely wouldn't go for BBB. Also I wouldn't run to a standing opponent and do 3B but that's just me. I usually go for 3A+B, 66K and sometimes 66B if I'm telling the opponent is about to attack or near the edge.

Whodat, thanx for the vids I hope there are still more vids of Nori. Yes I'm a greedy bastard.
 
Sword: stop grabbing urself. We played once...you beat me once. So now what you're going to retire as 1-0? Sounds like you're too much of a bitch to admit that your win was lucky. Even tho it was ME that acknowledged your win like a man. That's fine I don't to challenge you to a mm because you'll get embarassed like you did @ TiT. Don't MAKE me bring out the hype video....
 
The problem in Noris Vids is that the Kilik didnt play well. He didnt play bad of course, but Kilik can be a lot more pain in the ass than this. No Asura against a 3B spamming Cervantes? No Asura at all? It beats 3B and Throw so against a good Kilik a Throw/3B Mixup will kill you very fast.

So now one could say....AHH...nori plays shit, sooo unsafe bla bla....or one could say he adapted to his opponent, so it makes no point to discuss this.

But then again this is Kilik, why play SAFE against him? He sucks at punishing. What you need in this Matchup is good step, good mindgames, aB, aB, aB, aB, 1K Mixups and iTP.

There is no need to play safe against Kilik at all. Especially with Shura i would just spam aB all day till the Kilik starts to punish with 3kB consistently....
