Yoshi is broken on paper... LoL WTF does that have to do with anything? MOST characters played to their MAX potential would be broken in this game.

and you dont have to play yoshi to his max potential to win. Again I say , 44Bb is not broken. You get ONE usually off of CH iMCF combos, 2 if your godlike or making a combo video, in a tourney match you wont ever see more than one unless its off of lees super kick 19,09! I can get 5 off that easy.

It DOES not hold a candle to hildes doom combo. and def doesnt ring you out from 3/4's of a screen away. Quit exagerrating shit.

and no, no one else has the potential for an infinite with high execution
algols don't count to be hit by those you'd have to have downes

also synralli I used to make the case for raph being mid-high mid tier........but everyone in this community was all like LOLRAPHSUCKS ,AHAHA STEP > ALL YOUR OPTIONS , YOU CAN'T ADAPT TO STEP YOU ARE RAPH LOLOL ...so yeah I just got tired of it and decided to just agree

LoL you can tell you just listen to rumors.... 44bB is not an infinite. They fall farther down everytime you hit it. Even if your execution is perfect.

This is the dumbest shit I ever heard... Your basing OP'ness off of theory fighting. If nobody can do it and its never been used it doesnt need a nerf because it isnt possible to pull off.

LISTEN, you will not get more than 2 off of an iMCF combo... It just wont happen, THE ONLY time 44bB pushes across the whole stage is when combined with the 4A' JF spins, which the recovery for is TOTALLY RANDOM.

If you get hit by iMCF, 22B, 3AB, 4A;A;A;A;A, 44bB, 44bB, a:B+K.... Do you not think you should get rang out? I mean fuck someone should get a gold medal for doing that combo.

ON PAPER doesnt count for shit... Of course on paper hes broke he has life gaining JF's off of 5 different UB's, a stance counter for every situation, the strongest combos in the game, the best ring out game, but all of taht depends on Computer Like execution.

Which shouldnt even be thought of.... Your comparing hildes combo which a 6 year old can learn in a day, to yoshis which masters still dont have down after 3 years.
 
So algol was banned as well a hilde? Thats a shame really, they were both interesting looking characters, its a shame namco didn't bother nerfing either of them.

Hopefully by SC5 Hilde will be nerfed enough to join the ranks of everyone (while hopefully still reasonably tiered). Algol I don't really care for. Boss characters just come and go...
 
I was talking about the 4A:A:A:A infinites........and I even said 2 44Bbs
all im saying is if you think thats fair then algol,amy,hilde,kilik, or voldo should all be perfectly fair and balanced to you as well cause the only ones with shit that good are hilde and kilik

I am a firm believer in yoshi being top tier

P.S. algol isnt even top tier

Why should it be fair and balanced if nobody can use it? 4A's is fair and balanced... the recovery for the move is totally random LoL how is that not fair?
 
I doubt its totally random....more like hitbox and range dependent...
and nobody can use it? they said the same thing about jf asura...if it can be abused someone will learn it and use it like Oof and I did with bubble infinites
 
Its completely random. You dont have to believe me but believe Hajime and Lolo. This has been discussed in Yoshi's SA for at least 2 years.

There's a difference considering people were pulling of GB asura in 08.


I dont see how this makes Yoshi top tier. I have not seen a single Yoshi pull more than a single one in a row in any MM's, FT5/10, or Tourney's. Its just not reliable to use a move which even with 100% execution fails randomly. I also have not seen any Yoshi pull off 2 44Bb's in an important match.

Does Kikaleek pull 2 44Bb's after iMCF and 4A:A:A:A?
 
I'm very interresting of what make you changed your mind about Raphael Belial ?

I really think he's one of the weakest character in the game with Maxi and Yunsung (I don't count Rock and Mina).
4B, A+B, 22B:B and 44B are his only tool able to deal some damage.
3B, 66A+B and 236 B are the moves usefull to CF.
Ws B, 44B and 44K are the moves to use at disadvantage.
His grab are not bad, but not strong enough compare to all of his weaknesses.

Once you know how the A grab ring out, once you learn to GI 44B on reaction, once you learn options with your character against 3 [ B ] mixup and 4B mix up, then it's over. You don't have to fear anything from him...

He has some good range, some good low, a stance VE that can have some use because of the grab. But in the end all this is realy weak compare to other characters. Nightmare and Zas can outrange him easy. Sieg can attack him without to risk anything. Taki is unstoppable once close, and Raph can't stop her to attack. Same goes for Talim. etc... He is not THAT bad, and can beat even top tiers. But he is the worst character, in the sense that he don't have any good match ups, and had some very hard (same goes for Maxi and Yunsung) ! Voldo or Ivy as an example.

Side note:
Yoshi's 44bB is not an infinite. But there are not any stage that is long enough to be able to see it after super kick (19_09).
After common launcher, two 44bB are possible at best. When 44bB hit an air opponent, then once again it is possible to use it enough to RO from anywhere.
This also don't work anytime there is a wall which will stop the combo. Yoshimitsu is a fair character compare to Setsuka or Sophitia. But compare to characters like Raphael or even Siegfried, he is overpowered. Because he has some tools really unbalanced compare to theese one, like 44bB or MCF.
Yet, he is not the only one this way. Cassandra can 236: 6 times in a row an air opponent before he can escape the combo. This is also very unbalance compare to mid character, espescially when combined with moves like 33K or 66B+G. Yet compare to tools of Kilik or Amy, this is not overpowered.

edit: Furzy used 44bB in his game very often. Same goes for lolo. Look for their matches on youtube.

No he doesnt... Ill answer that for you...

and bubbles its random...

Go do the move in traning mode, hit replay over and over and he will recover then not recover...

The move is fair. and it isnt an infinite because he will eventuallly fall down, usually after the 2nd or 3rd one. also if you get hit by that move over 3 times in a row, then id be just fine with it ringing me out, A: it was luck you were even able to do it that many times, B: your execution is sick C: you should enjoy the show.

It is totally random according to the developers :) Two frenchies talked to them when they were in Japan. 4AAAAA is nothing to worry about. Yoshimitsu is nothing to worry about. He is pretty well balanced overall, really good designed character imo.

I once saw rddk land: CH aB+K iMCF 22B 3AB 44bB 4A:A:A:A:A 4A:A:A:A:A 4A:A:A:A:A aB+K RO literally from one side of ancient gate to the other! The executions a bitch, its based on pure luck and I highly doubt he'll land it again for months but I almost pissed myself I was laughing so hard, paticularly considering he landed it on wrath of snacky. XDDDDD
Its a fair mechanic though, pure luck isnt a garuntee, not by a long shot. you could get hit by the above combo maybe 50 times and all of that combo would come out maybe twice?
If Hilde lands C3B, she could do it 1000 times and you would eat a full doom combo EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Much as I hate to admit it, Djinn's right. Yoshi hasn't got shit on Hilde's RO game.

haha RDDK tries that combo all the time... and he actually lands more than ONE lots of times. Thats why its always fun to play with him cuz he always trys ridiculous combos/set ups.

Yeah, I don't know how he does it, but whenever I fight him or at least see him fight, I burst out laughing at least twice a match; if 8way had a class clown it would be rddk =3
 
RDDK is crazy. I remember seeing on the french SC forum his ranked stats, he had over 1000 draws iirc. Too bad he left PSN, I miss playing him.
