When I played Soulblade I really tought amazing Mitsurugi (the first character I chose to play in Soul Series). Also Cervantes, awesome pirate. Also like Kyo Kusanagi (KOF), Jin Kazama (TEK) and Rose (SFZ1).

But when I played SCII for the first time I really fell in love with Ivy. Truly one of the characters most innovative and well done so far created.

Ken, SF2 in the arcades. I played him opposite of my friend that played Ryu and taught me how to play in the first place.

Ryu in Street Fighter 2. I loved the fact he was serious with that arms crossed pose while his headband and black belt are blown about. First Main in Soul Blade? A dabbled around on a few characters. The characters I liked using most (back then age 8) was Hwang, Mitsurugi, Siegfried and Taki.

When I was 4, I played my sister's boyfriend's Playstation, and learned how to spam Marshall Law's 3+4, 3+4 in Tekken 2. I was the best 4 year old Law player ever.

Looking back it's a bit "Awwww..." since I abhor playing against and with Law, and am strictly a Dragunov main.

I remember plunking quarter after quarter playing as Ken in SF2. Aah... the days when special moves weren't readily available on the Internet and were instead guarded by a shadowy cabal of 1337 players.

First fighting game character I actually bothered to study and excel with was Nightmare in SCII.

Ryu from Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers(SNES). i was only 2 years old.

y?
-i could beat my entire family by zoning with hado-ken's and spamming shoryuken's every time they'd try to jump the hado-ken.
-his blue and orange outfit reminded me of these like orange cream fruit candies i used to eat when i was young
-i played the game on a daily basis and he was the 1st character on the select screen(i really never played any other game except Super Mario All-Stars(SNES) and Legend of Zelda: a Link to the past(SNES) back then.)
-even then i had a strong obsession to continually better myself at the game.

of course this eventually lead to myself getting a PS1 and Street Fighter EX plus Alpha(PS1) which i mained Hokuto and played to death. it would be the last fighting game that any family member would ever play with me(dad put the controller down and walked away after i pulled off a 3/4 health combo>special>super on him. after that i was blacklisted in my family...for fighting games at least) which lead me to turn my interest to Diablo(PS1/PC) (which isnt important)

my fighting game interest did not quell there though, and soon my cousin(who is basically like a brother to me) rented a magical game called Soul Calibur 3(PS2) where Siegfried and i met. it was love at 1st sight...

eventually all of this lead me to a strong interest in old games which made me collect every game in the soul series and retrieve all old games i once owned for SNES. SC and Tekken(i go back and forth between Jin and Lee here...and yes i suck lol) were probably the games i spent the most time with, and then, eventually i joined this here community with Shinji Urahara(good friend/brother from another mother) some time after we met on SCIV(i actually was strongly against joining at 1st...thought it would be like cheating...LOL. it was actually probably because of IcyBlueCrysis that i even considered it. his sieg was really an inspiration to me at the time. to think i even called him mentor LOL) and i've stayed with it ever since, even following silly virtues as not joining other communities such as the tekken community to maintain unwavering loyalty to 8wayrun...LOL. so even though i want to be good at other games, i take very little interest in other communities outside of SC(perhaps this is silly or flawed? probably. i often think about these sorts of things.)

anyways i ramble away as usual lol. i remember i would specifically get to Sagat's stage in SF2 to practice my hado-ken inputs for hours on end. till this day, i may absolutely suck ballz at street fighter, but i've always got that input down flawlessly. still got the callouses on my thumbs and from all the QCF's the crooked fingers from playing too many video games in general to prove it.(i still play waaay to much. 8-10 hours a day AT LEAST.)

@2BarTimmy: lets go 200% bro!!! XD

Guile in Super Street Fighter 2

I was the only person who knew how to do charge moves in my area for a while, funny stuff.

I remember that toshindin game! but my first male was a guy from Fighters Megamix. His name was Urban and was easily the most overpowered character in the game! he had a punch that would send you flying and he always sounded like he was saying "your mother's a rat!"
My first female character was Sarah Bryant from the same game. she was a virtual fighter character and I thought she was really cool, both in fighting style and personality. I even named my dog/wolf Sarah and later on named a character from my book and manga that i make Sarah Rayne.

Yoshimitsu at some arcade, it was an SC2 arcade machine thing, I spammed pogo.
King in tekken, also at the arcade.
