Who was your first fighting game character?

She still is my favorite fighting game character today.

Is that really Tekken 3!? I remember thinking, "Damn, these are some good fuckin' graphics!"

Nostalgia really is a lying bitch.

Nostalgia really is a lying bitch.

Favorite old games always stay percfect in mind. I reacted just like you when i try to play Blade of Darkness after years and so many other nostalgic games.

someone from tekken 3 for the ps1. Can't remeber who. It was probably yoshi (or at leadt I used him the most) cause I thought he looked badass with the sword n all.

Yoshimitsu in the original Soul Calibur.

He's the first character I actually remember going into training mode and looking up how to do his moves.

My 1st fighting game I got into was rival school.
I had a ball with my boy Shoma! get it? a "ball". Hahaha oh MIYO, you and your word play!

Hmm...let's see.

My first fighter ever was Street Fighter II, the version with only 8 characters, and I played everybody except for Zangief. After that came SF2 the version with the 4 bosses, and at that point I played every character except Gief and Sagat. I had a few favorites (namely Bison, Vega, Balrog, Ryu, Honda and Blanka) but too many to really call any of them a main or a favorite.

So I guess that would make my first main Sub Zero from MK1.

However, the first character I ever put real effort into learning (above and beyond other characters in the game) was Hwoarang in Tekken 3.

However, that being said, it wasn't until Voldo in SC2 that, for the first time ever, I got the feeling that I had found *my* character.

My very first character I liked was Law from Tekken 2 because he reminded me if Bruce Lee. (No shit eh? lol)

Law dies at the end of Tekken 6. (Woot!) never really did like him in the first place. he was a beginner friendly character that just made a lot of noise in stead of really calling out with power like Bruce lee and Maxi (SC2) did. In my opinion, if law were real Bruce Lee would descend from the heavens and kick Law's butt just for making a bad impression.
Original character: Scorpion (MK) (GET THE F*#K OVER HERE!)

My first was Chun-Li from Street Fighter II.
It was sort of a "Oh look a female. How strange... *click*"

When I first played Street Fighter for the SNES my main was Dhalsim. At that time I didn't know how to do special attacks, I rely mainly on his long stretch attacks to win the fight.

The earliest I can remember...

Some elf chick in this game I played at an arcade called Treasure Island. She walked around in green and swung this whip. I can't remember what the hell the game was called.

Let's see, then there was Xavier from Eternal Champions, who is utterly badass.

That's about as early as I can recall.
