DEVASTATION 2K11 MMs/HYPE THREAD!

Seriously laughing my ass off over here. What about the drunk bitch at the bar who's dude threw water on us?
It wasn't just water. It was beer and watered down liquor. I really should have tore his head off. And I think that's who they're talking about. Which brings me to this...
That bitch was 49, not 55.
That bitch may have been 49 but she looked like she was a year over death.

The reason I made that post is because you pretty much refuse to acknowledge that fact lag is what allows a lot of the lows and tactics you use to work. Offline WP 1B into huge combo ain't gonna land almost 90% of the time like it does online. SW 22K isn't gonna hit as much as it does online. Instead you just write it off as complaining etc so now I want you to learn the truth the hard way. No one is hailing you as 'god', at least I'm not. All I'm saying is show up to Dev and see if the strats you use online to get wins will translate into victory offline as well. If you show up no one is gonna be immature or stubborn, and we hope you won't be as well. We'll give you your props for actually trying the game offline, just like we did with Teflon at FSAK. Funny thing is, Teflon is another Ivy player who did pretty well online but had to learn the difference between online and offline the hard way. Ivy is an excellent character and the 1st place person at DEV just might be an IVY player but they won't win using the stuff you use online.

It's obvious online and offline are a different experience, so acknowledging it would be like me saying the sun is bright. (get it?) No one complains about my "lag tactics" when they've won against me. But as soon as the tables turn, (insert excuse here). I call that poor sportsmanship. I guess in any competition it'll be there regardless but in combination with inmaturity.....(-_-)"

hey bro, i just wanna let you know that despite how some people act on the forums, we're all most cool people in person and DEVASTATION is tied for the best tournament i've ever been to. You won't regret showing up.

oh and dont listen to all the haters, 22K is an awesome move, just make sure you do the 2A+K input while holding B instead, it's safer. That move is beast and it hits every player, even the top ones. You might have to be slightly more creative with it offline, but otherwise, keep using it. haters gonna hate.

I play offline and my style is completely different since some moves don't follow through as they would online so it forces me to be creative :) And haters ARE going to hate ;)

Well if both players are using every move in the book then yeah there should be no excuses from anyone. But for the most part when I played you, you would use WP 1B along with all kinds of other various tactics that work because of heavy lag online and I wouldn't complain, nor would I retaliate by using the slow lows of my character. I tried to play according to the 'honor code' agreed upon by members of this site, even against people who use every low in the book, like yourself or Corrondo. But lately I've simply grown tired of trying to be nice to people online, especially when they know why certain moves are complained about yet they keep doing it. You just admitted yourself that you play differently offline but the reason you gave was kind of vague, can you elaborate on it? I know players here at 8wayrun for the most part try to play the game online the same way they'd play offline, except that they omit some of the moves that are boosted too much due to lag.

first of all, THIS.

second, you gotta realize that we all rag on each other, and especially new guys. don't let that dissuade you from coming. i promise that over casuals and an ice cold beer, all these guys are cool as hell. you are extremely lucky to be so close to the biggest and best SC tournament in america in 2k11. i wouldn't miss it.

wow your obsession with me is a bit excessive. It's an endless conversation with you & I'm done playing your game.

It's funny, I would have never found out about DEV (or 8wayrun) if it wasn't for a few players online who told me about this event. I play here & there so going to a major event for this would be unusual for me since I don't consider myself I guess eligible because I casually play this game. So it wouldn't surprise me if I did lose against others since my playtime isn't always dedicated to SCIV or fighters.

I joined this website to get a feel for the SCIV community & I found players who I largely respected & praised for their awesome battles turn into, well, something I didn't expect of them. I doubt I'll come to DEV since I no longer see it like I was first led to believe & I'm not asking for any kind of persuasion.

Why are you worried about someone who isn't going to a tournament in his own city?

Can someone answer his question?

Let me start off by saying -

ZHS, regardless of the differences I've had with you, I do want to see you at a tourney having a good time. I was a garbage player the first time I went offline, and that didn't stop me from going and meeting people. A new face is never a bad thing, and I love meeting new players, making new friends, and having fun at tourneys in general.

That said -

You came into this thread saying people were taking things too personally, and now you're asking why nobody can take a loss? Need I remind you of all the rage messages you've sent to me through my time playing this game? I've been on a couple accounts, and I can go back through my inbox on at least two of them to find a bunch of messages that you initiated, without me kicking you or lagging the hell out of you. (Granted there have been a few games where I've done that in response to your play) Or, there's the time I told you to come play at last year's DEV, or come to lobo's for casuals, and you flipped out, called me crazy and a nerd for wanting to play offline with people. Soooo, I dunno, stuff like that may make people not have such a happy reaction when you're mentioned.

Obsession? No dude, I was just trying to explain the reasoning behind my post. But fine, your done, I'm done....nothing more to it. Still hope you come to the tourney but now you sound like you're not even though YOU LIVE IN THE SAME DAMN CITY lol. You realize there are people flying in from CA, FL, NY, Canada, and even as far as France to come to this tourney?

Can someone answer his question?

Well I thought you were going at first but now it sounds like you're giving all these excuses why you're not so forget it. No response needed, I'm done talking to you.

It's funny when nigs say they only play casually when they've been playing the same damn game for the last four years...CASUALLY! Nigga, you know new games come out, right? I play Uno with females casually; I'm not about to do something for years and not try the be the best I can be at it. Get that shit outta here!

^ That's easy to say for someone who wants to constantly travel and prove himself. For me, I'm just glad to retain a certain level after a while. If on average I play people once every couple of months and still do well, I'm happy.
