Considering that Gram was suppose to be a legendary sword used to kill a huge-ass dragon I like it better historically inaccurate.

Oh and Grimblade was cool.
 
OK... After playing TRA (Tomb Raider Anniversary) I've noticed that the symbols on the arches inside the pyramid look a bit like the symbols on the normal Gram, so Namco could re-name Gram and call it "Atlantis sword" :P:P.
As for the toothpick version, they can keep the name Gram...

Hey, I didn't know you can capture pics directly from the game on your PSP. How do you do it?

Well in this case i was lazy, so i did use my cameraphone...(yes, i have a good cameraphone, and steady hands)
But lets just say my psp is a little different from the rest. a little customized, and lets leave it at that =P
Using a program i installed onto it i could just as easily taken the picture.
But that woulda meant having to take my "special" psp into "special" boot mode to turn that program on.
And i really couldn't have been bothered to do that since i hadn't slept for 3 days XD
But i should turn that program on soon...as it allows me to capture raw video footage that i can put in the soul arena...

I dont know why
But I enjoy typing like this

What about a lightsaber as a joke weapon? (Only if they are really into giving Sieg a thin sword) I don't like that Take Off...

Nightmare moves from SC2 are directly heritage of Siegfried from SC/SB... if Sophy wields the SoulEdge now then she will do Alexandra stuff in that case not Siegfried stuff...
 
Yeah, I know... Oh, I meant that Sieg should get that move while Nightmare could do something else with his arm... Unless he becomes Sophitia...

As for that profile...whoa. He's 40, which feels crazy. He's 5'6" and 156 lbs, which still sounds incorrect like it was in SC4. Also, Margaret's dead now, and it wasn't because of Siegfried. Who'd have thought?

Anyway, another day at Comic-con, another day of Siegfried getting beat up by Alexandras. A few new things we learned. In addition to some returning moves I saw, it sounds like Roger Craig Smith is back, and sounding a bit more manly than in SC4. I think he'll be a good choice.

I think the most interesting detail in Sieg's profile was that the Schwarzwind were listed as his family. I don't recall them being described as his family in SC3 or SC4 or SB (I never played SC1).
I'm looking forward to SC5 and playing as Sieg… I hope his moveset is changed enough that it feels fresh but not like a total departure from what we're used to.

The thing about RCS's voice is that, while he can make it sound dark like Crispin Freeman's, RCS's has a more "older" feel to it than CF's, which I think is what gave Siegfried's SCIV voice such an odd vibe. That older feel would obviously suit an older Siegfried. I have high hopes for him in SCV.

So, anyway. From the Comic-con video. I saw the following moves for the first time on SCV Siegfried:

FC A
B6
6B
WS K
A+KAAB
A+KK
66K (knock down on NH!?!?!)
New Vertical - possibly Brave Edge

All of which used SCIV animations, except 66K, which seemed a bit "beefier". Of course, that might just be Siegfreid's figure. Also, his possible Brave Edge attack wasn't really used - he got hit out of it by Pyrrah about 15 or so frames in. However, it was definitely an attack I've never seen before, and since it was flashing, I'm assuming it was the new Brave Edge thing they were talking about.

And some choice quotes from Dennis Lee and Filthierich, in reference to Siegfried's new playstyle.

"He's still gonna feel very familiar for the fans that played Siegfried before hand. Similar, yet different." - Dennis Lee

"He's still gonna be able to do a lot of what he did before. Maybe he might be a little bit slower in some areas in certain attacks, but then he'll learn different ways to wield his weapon, so then he'll have new attacks, and speedier attacks as well." - Dennis Lee

"With all the stances that he's had in the previous games, with the implementation of Brave Edge being in this, there's a lot of cool things that are gonna be different per stance, so both the casual player and the competitive player are gonna try to pick up on these new things that are going to be, number one, cool, and two, are gonna do a lot of damage." - Rich Bantegui

Everything I see so far gave me back the 50 years of life I lost when seeing Siegfried end up frozen and not hearing anything about SCV some years ago...
 
I'm still thinking about his mother... Poor both Sieg and Margaret... I really wanted those two to reunite. I hope that Sieg overcame his hesitation and visited his mother...

yea, me too. i always thought about this, how it would affect Siegfried as a whole, and what it would add to his story. how were their relations after he came back? how is Schwarzwind involved with his life now? were they ever involved with his mother? I'm assuming hes taken back leadership of them in a similar fashion as he did in his non-cannon SC1 ending...how did Siegfried's absence affect his mother? has he ever thought about such? just so many things to think about, so many questions to ask...

It looks like hes become a very strong, built man. I'm very eager to see any new ways he may wield his sword. it also justifies 66K's new KND property. im lovin that new 66K...

TT-TT i couldnt be more happy!

Agreed! SC2 was my first SC game and I always played as Nightmare. I continued using Sieg in later installments in the series because his moveset was so similar to Nightmare's from SC2 (well at least it felt similar to me. Nightmare's moveset in SC3 seemed different from SC2 Nightmare). I feel like Sieg's moves never quite got back that fluidity; it would be nice to see it back.
