Sometimes I question why people hate amy with a flaming passion but not siegfried? I feel he is the most Scrubbiest, Noobiest, And Cheapest character in the game to such a high degree it Makes Algol/Hilde look like boy scout's.

Lo my hatred for WR AA is on a level that no human should be on. God I should just make an entire post dedicated to why I hate siegfried and his cheap stances....

Cmon folks let's forgive amy and jump on the Siegfried hate bandwagon! Nightmare players deserve better match-ups!!!!

Going 14 hours without sleep and practicing rock 6 of those hours have completely burned out my Sarcasm chip that's embedded into the dark deep corners of my brain.

At least you don't have to worry about constant 3B spam from yoda compared to sieg. Cmon How can you NOT hate Noobfried? I swear i feel as if Project Soul purposely favored him in SCIV over Nightmare.

It wouldn't matter as much to me if it wasn't for the fact he's in SCV. Gotta deal with 3B spam all over again...Hopefully JG will make him look like a scrub.

That being said I'm going to rest my eyes for a few minutes hours. WE SHOULD GET THIS HATE WAGON FOR SIEG GOING FROM CITY TO CITY! COUNTRY TO COUNTRY! We must rebel against Namco's insidious decision to make the game focus around Noobfried!

You cannot judge a character by the way he is played online by tones of noobs who only bought Soul Calibur because their favourite Vader/Yoda/Apprentise was in... And you cannot rage against Siegfried only, when there are tones of Kiliks, Sophitias, Cassandras, etc..., who ride the laghorse. Comparing to them, Siegfried ain't that bad imho...

But I'll leave this online topic behind as it is a waste of words...

Scrubby? Cheap? Noobfried? Perhaps you have no idea about offline gaming... Perhaps you've never tried Siegfried at all. Ok, he is easy to pick up, but to master him? I believe that he must be one of the hard ones. You'll have to take risks with him as he is slow and most of the times he gets into disadvantage because of that, open for any hit. His stances are not stupid, but his core gaming and the key to master him. Yeah, tourney players who use Siegfried, or even players who look forward to entering one seriously, work their ass off on him. They spend hours and hours to learn him inside out and sharpen their tactics or even eliminate the possible disadvantages to any situation, which are many. Siegfried ain't Amy you know. So stop it!

BTW, check Siegfried's SC4 SA. Dedicated Siegfried users still work on him and his tactics against anyone and anything. And you think he's here as a joke... Heh...

My advice here is not to take online gaming seriously, because it is just an illusion, and most important do not judge the way the characters are played online, because you are getting the wrong impression! And if you do have the chance, time, money, guts and will, start looking for tourneys to participate in.

as for his feelings on sieg....I dont know that I agree either. Not everyone thinks like us. But online he can be a bitch to deal with. But I have my anti-sieg down. Instead of making fun of the guy, how bout we help him with his anti-sieg strat.

Seriously though, Siegfried's main weaknesses are lack of speed and safety, and I mean any Siegfried - learn to punish, take your damage where you can get it. Siegfried's fastet non-high move is i15, so generice 2A can be a bitch to deal with. Otherwise, learn the character yourself and don't cry about an average character.
Siegfried's in general fall into two catagories:
Spacers/ CH fishers, like me
Throw whores like Heaton, lol.

Beating average - bad Sieg is only a matter of practice, but if you are having trouble, learn Astaroth - he's easy to pick up and does everything Siegfried does, but better.
To really learn how to play against him, the best way is to learn how to fight as him and see his weaknesses for yourself:

That being said Maxi does have several weaknesses in his character if you use him or fight against long enough. You can see several combo breaks but that doesn't mean it's always a guaranteed opening

Combos are guaranteed damage. They cannot be gotten out of. You probably mean to say holes in his strings or would your setups work offline.

Offline after playing against the computer on Edge master and watching some offline tournament videos I know they aren't that hard to deal with if you can get in the head of your opponent.

Edge master CPU doesn't count for anything. It doesn't play like a human. It can be exploited, but it can also do some pretty inhuman stuff like JI(not GI) a move you use a lot very consistently. Watching a tournament isn't the same as participating in one.

Yes anyone can be trashy with any character (I.e. Spamming 236 A over and over with lizard or using 66a alot.)

66:B isn't punishable. Can interrupt 66:B into 66:B? I wouldn't call that a punishment problem. It might be lag, but I guess the setup can work offline out of fear of 66:BA.

Asura by itself isn't lag abusive. B+K or B+K 6B into other stuff is pretty bad lag abusive however.

Vader (I don't know but I feel as if 6A+B can't JI grabs online...and some of his frames feel slower like 6BB or 8-way A+B)

They aren't slower. Maybe you aren't buffering them early enough? I also call bullshit on being able to consistently JI grabs with 6A+B offline.

I can block mitsu's 2kb offline (In fact i can Just impact it a good 65% of the time.) But online even though I see the move but I can't block it in time.

Just impact or guard impact? You're wrong either way though. That's like saying you can block the standard 2K.

However this upcoming tournament will be the First (Does anime convention tournaments still count) tournament where I can fight experienced offline players.

I think it's more likely you'll be fighting experienced online players.

Scrubbiest has to be in terms of lag tactics:
Mitsurugi (By far the most easiest character to win with. 2kb, 1a, 11k into A from relic stance. etc)
Siegfried (LOL we all know why he's here.)
Ivy (Also we all know why she's here. I hope static won't troll me for putting her here)
Amy (66:B Spam? Can't punish? Too bad. Oh wait you see A+KB but can't sidestep? Too bad.)
Sophitia (236B! 236B! 236B! 1K! A+B!)
Lizardman (236A! 66A! 1K! people abuse 236 online like crazy)

In terms of no skill in online play:
Maxi (Sorry HRD we all know why he's on this list.)
Kilik (ASURA DANCE HOOOOOO!!!!!!!)
Amy (Lol what a coincidence. Just use 6b and 6B+K and 44B!)
Nightmare (I CAN DO IZ 236KK AND I KNO HOW TO DO 3A+B and 1A!!!)
Talim (A, A, B, B, A, A, B, B, A, A, B, B, .... 4B+K A!, B, B, A, A)
Mitsurugi (Derp B, B = I outframe uz, B6 and 3A makes me cool.)

In terms of just general abuse:
Hmm...Can't think of anyone o.O maybe Vader since you can easily abuse BB into 1A+B on noobs who crouch A+B

That being said some characters actually have to work to win online
Cassandra
Rock (Considering how laggy online can be against pure lag tactics, Rock works his ass off for a win)
Voldo (Yes I personally think voldo has to work to win ONLINE)
Yun-Seong (Cmon besides the fact most people fall for the Neutral Crane Stance, he still has to earn his win against lag whores)
Taki (Debatable but I feel if a player isn't being frame happy she also needs to earn her win)

That being said it does come down to the player in general, but we all have those moments were we call out a character for being total scrub sauce (SIEGFRIED!!!!).
