Soul Calibur: The Movie! ^-^

I can't really see this ever being made. It is possible I suppose but hell it would take a bunch of nameless/unknown actors/actresses, lots of CGI, a budget for setting, and would be a pain in the ass to cast and pay for. The amount of characters in Soul Calibur makes it unlikely that a cheap film could be made of it and have it succeed.

I hate to say it but I wouldn't mind an animated/cgi version of the film similar to things like resident evil/final fantasy AC, FF Spirits within, Halo Legends, etc... I think it would be a lot easier and cheaper to make and has a better chance of succeeding in my opinion.

Also on an unrelated topic I happened to find a video of a fan made trailer for Soul Calibur Movie using scenes from all the games. Not horrible. thought I'd share it.

 
I know it's all about opinions and wants, but Michael Cera as Kilik? Did I oversee Hilary Duff as playing Talim? My God... I'd rather hire unknown actors and actresses who look and know how to act like the characters. That's just my opinion though...

Well, U know, I didn't cast Michael Cera as Kilik, and quite frankly, I'm unsure about this idea...
Also, I've said Hilary Duff as Talim, just to make play somebody 2 Hilary...
& what about U?

I like Gatsu's cast picks but I'd prefer they do it full CGI. That way everyone can keep their awesome moves.

This is just an "impossible cast" for teh fun of this thread
A real movie will just suck, a CG one will respect original characters

Damn dude relax with all the hostility. Everyone he picked looked perfect for the part not some fucking Johny Depp for Mitsurugi. Soul Calibur is my favorite game period. I'll support it in all its endeavors but i don't want it doomed from the start.

God I love Seven Samurai Akira Kurosawa is the best. Favorite film of all time...I believe it is highly likely that they will base Mitsurugi's brother off of a character in a Kurosawa film.

I'm kinda hoping for a kikuchiyo-like brother to offset Mitsurugi's serious personality. this itself would be considered ironic if this becomes the case as Toshiro Mifune played Musashi Miyamoto in the Samurai Triloy and Musashi Miyamoto is who Mitsurugi is often considered based/inspired by.
 
Gatsu's picks win, hands down. I agree completely, though I'm a little iffy about Brenda Song as Talim. I mean, I know she's a dark-skinned Asian and all, but in all honesty, I'd prefer an actual Filipina play Talim. (C'mon, give my people a chance XP) Plus, at least for me, it's VERY hard to take Disney Channel actors seriously, former or current. (Though to be fair, I thought she did really well in The Social Network, but...yeah.)
 
Honestly, I was think V. Hudgens, but I was like nah. Then I reviewed B. Song, then I was like nah. I kept thinking. "Who can play Talim?" I saw a girl yesterday that had her some of her looks. I'll do more research to find an actor that I can take seriously to look like and play her.
