i understand where you're coming from but the fact that damage and attack properties can change means people can't be too sure. and attack properties will constantly change even after the game is released. sure the Soul Arena has basic moves but we can learn what those are after going through the move list but we never know if that may change. the fact that Daishi says that the moves aren't final probably means that they will be working on this until the very end.

shoot. i forgot what even started this debate. oh yeah my cassy was being flamed. (i think) but if i can at least get a cut scene with cassy in it explaining what she's been up to these past 17 years i'll be satisfied but even better if she becomes playable.

At this point only Setsuka and Talim have a realistic possibility of coming back. Soph and Cass are replaced by Pat and Pyrrah, Taki by Natsu, Xiba has some Mina in his style, Amy is Viola. I like Setsuka and I definitely want her style to return, but the story can only take so many characters appearing to not have aged at all so Talim is the best choice(seeing as she'd be 32). But if Setsuka ages realistically it'd be good for her to return also.

I do however suspect we'll get Taki as a skin with her own voice. Would be nice if they personalized her taunts, winning poses etc.

If Setsuka were to return, she wouldn't be that old or the oldest character. She'd only be 41. Hell, Mitsurugi's 46, and Voldo's 70. Age isn't something the aging characters have a problem with.

But he does know the full cast, so in this case, I'd take his word for it - it checks out in terms of common sense.
Even though I know she's gone, I voted Xianghua because her style IMO was easily the best designed character all round in the above poll.

Setsuka if she doesn't return at-least keep her style or a MALE character using her Iiado style something like Virgil from the DMC series a blade and scabbard no umbrella!
