you poor, poor, poor things. anyway enjoy! i tried very hard to find some stuff for ya'll but i found only one and i posted it in seig SA yesterday.
EDIT: forgot about this one. It only shows him in 1 fight and its the first one.....

Thanks muchly, Optymuss.

Oh, I never noticed before (not even sure if it's new or not) but I just noticed that you can CR cancel out of CR B, B

In that video against Siegfried, Voldo 2A+B~CR B, B~CR bullshit slide (Calibur 4's CR B, not sure what the input is in 5)

Hopefully that's safe enough to keep using CR B, B~CR as a way to add continued mixup pressure

Yeah, that seems like the intentions. All options, besides block (assuming you can safely guard), will likely be 2A/2K interruptable. You may be able to make these attempts whiff if you are able to go into CR retreat instantly. This is something I wanted to test once the game comes out.

On a side note, Sporko. Voldo's SC4 236B in Calibur 5 will be 236A+B. The only way to do SC4's 236A+B will be to do the FC 3A+B version. This is subject to change, but someone at the TGS informed me of the change to 236B, and I asked someone at the French thing to try FC 3A+B since nobody could figure out if he still had the superman dive and that confirmed he did.

Yeah that was my worry, Enk, that it might possibly not be able to recover into a guard cancel. If that were the case, it'd be 100% useless against anybody who had even the slightest idea they could do that.

It seems to be a current trend that has me worried in SCV ~ Many stances and moves are being taken away from characters. The logic from the devs seems to be to make the game more 'accessable' and 'easier' to play with certain characters, when in fact it does neither of the two. Instead it dumbs down the gameplay by limiting the options and reducing viable tactics ~ And that sucks for us, who use a character that somewhat requires a bit more advanced knowledge making it more fun and rewarding something awesome/tricky is executed. Although I'm really happy that they're merging movesets between SC2 through SC4 (and some nice new moves) that CR cancel option is too good ~ Let's hope they don't take it away, or we figure a way around it.

As an update, I noticed that in the build that I played, you could no longer guard cancel CR. Once you enter CR you are committed to doing a CR move or getting hit out of it. You can, however, cancel into CR'ing into the opposite direction.

So you can CR, CR backwards, CR forward, CR backwards, rapidly.

Hey Goofus/Chuck, if you guys are around and watch those last videos that Soul posted, is it just me or did they really tone down the damage that counterhit A+B~CR B, B does in this build? I remember counterhit A+B~CR B, B doing 35%, or something along those lines

the new moves look fuckin' epic,he looks a lot better and more balanced than what he was in sc4...

I wouldn't say better, not yet. Though I'm inclined to agree on the more balanced thing, but that's all off of some *very* brief impressions.

We'll see when the game drops

I agree, though I still think he will be really good. They lowered a lot of his damage in the moves that really raked it in from SC4, I had trouble pulling damage with him in general.

In regards to A+B~CR B, B, I think they might have lowered the damage a little bit. I don't remember it being as devastating as you said originally, but something like that shouldn't pull in 35% percent anyway.
