[Southern California] Kings Of the Ant Hill

More like disappointed fan! I expected nothing less than BEASTING from the amazing NorCal players! Instead we got more of the same play where players just stick with what they know. Well, not all of it was like that. Ah well
So you accept Krayzie's challenge, then?

Do we suddenly try to keep up with korean SC2 standards where you should always try and plan an entertaining game?

No... play to win in a real match. Not in demo matches lol

Also, fuck you for criticizing people for trying old stuff in a new game... How the fuck are you ever supposed to figure out how the old shit works now if you don't use it a few times?
It sure took a long time to figure out old stuff :o

If it takes longer I'd call it new, since it would be so different

No, more likely they're afraid to try something new

And again, I'm not just talking about that one KCD video

Yes and no. He misunderstood me he thought I was criticizing him specifically ("talking shit" or something idk), I'd rather not play a match with the connotation that I was talking shit when I clearly wasn't

I'm down to play for some other reason though

shoot. all i know is that if I was playing the game at those event's I would be just guarding like crazy. everyone would call me J.G. XD

but I think some people are too worried about winning than experimenting with the new stuff at these events. that's probably why we don't see much outside the basics.

Basically you commented on a video of my absolute first time playing SCV saying you don't understand why we don't use meter and we should know all our characters brave edge moves. Once again, not everyone scours the forum and pre-release vids like you apparently did so get off your high horse. So what you got on SCV for your first time and was immediately pulling off BE combos and CEs, good for fucking you. That shit doesn't impress me though, not until everyone has the chance to get the same play time. Your event had like 6 setups and 2 days to play, our event had 2 setups and just 4 hours of time with a shitload of people there, meaning we hardly got much playtime. Wasn't time to 'try new shit' because once you lose you're fucking off the machine for a while. It's cool though, you say you weren't talking shit......so I guess you were just bragging that you knew all this new shit but Norcal didn't? Just know with talk like that, NorCal will be waiting to run a train on that ass once we come down there for a SoCal tourney.

there were 4 setups with 3-4 people in line at a time over 2 days but yeah you have a point there

but all the more reason to learn a couple things

anyway idk what this "scouring" is all about it takes two seconds to find stuff there isn't much

im bragging, wtf?

get in chat if you wanna discuss this more

There's a big difference between knowing something theoretically and learning it to the point where you can seamlessly integrate it into your game. I, for example, am the sort of player who really needs to sit in practice mode with something for a while before it feels natural--it probably took me 20 or 30 matches before I even really began attempting BE/CE stuff regularly--and I think many players are like that, which is why I made a point not to start running up in people's shit with that at Southtown. Better to let them play.

This is good, though. We need Norcal/Socal beefs. Put me down as an official MM challenge, too.

To be fair, SCR was more of a...SSF, Marvel, Tekken, MK and other games tournament.
Sure we had a couple people on the set ups, but it would be empty from time to time in our area, giving people a chance to learn, test and hog the station than in their event.
We also didn't have strict supervision like they did.
Just sayin.

Have you ever heard post match interviews from korean pros? Every single one of them says they want to bring more entertaining games in the future.

NorCal vs SoCal? I'm down! I call dibs on NDK I want to get some revenge for him taking me out of DEV. I got $20 on it.

We all know that when the time comes Seattle is going to wreck everyone on the WC. This petty Cali challenge is nothing. You should all save your money to give to us. Especially that one demonly inclined fellow. Old heads don't know their place anymore!

Yall are on dope. Socal will be reppin the big wins when it counts. NDK is so cross eyed he cant see straight, krayzie be needin to change his depends every other match, and Hates? Well be just hates stuff. See what i did there?

What's a Seattle?
As I said, Old heads. So sad what happens to the mind after all those years.

Oh and speaking of OLD...

I personally challenge you to a *insert whatever* match. Where whoever wins gets everything they'll ever want and nothing gay or embarrassing like.

Pfft, this old man is a threat. But, to be fair, I take SoCal and Seaturtle (or whatever) seriously, so I might actually use .5% of my true power.

Also, GO wants an insertion match that isn't gay or embarrassing? How does that work?
