lol QQ M0AR N00BS.

I can't wait for this game, and I'm gonna have a blast playing it while you guys are all QQ'ing about minor things.

The hilarious and sad part (Sadlarious?) is that not only are you guys judging the game before even playing the final build yourselves, but some of you whining about absent or "disappointing" characters wouldn't have even mained any of those anyways.

Of course some characters weren't gonna make it. Those of you with mains who made it in should be grateful that they made it in. Those who lost their mains, well it's adapt or die. You should have been prepared for this possibility? You don't think I was prepared to accept that Dampierre may not have made it in before they revealed him?

And you guys are complaining about classic style BOSS characters. If you don't know what I mean by classic style, go play SC1 and SC2. I didn't realize that you guys wanted to use boss characters so badly. I thought I was the only one who liked them.

At the end of the day we have 26 unique styles not counting mimics. That's 2 less than SCIV. If you can even consider SCIV having that many because so many characters weren't even viable for winning tournaments. You should be grateful that Project Soul focused their time on BALANCING rather than making more models and movesets.

We lost some great characters who aren't guaranteed to be gone for good thanks to DLC, but we gained some new, original and even more UNIQUE characters (Zwei, Viola, Ezio).

And Tekken character Devil Jin makes you sad? Let me introduce you to my friend Heihachi. I'm sorry if he ruined SC2 for you. Oh and let me introduce Yoshmitsu to you. I'm sorry if he ruined THE ENTIRE SOULCALIBUR SERIES for you. I'm so sorry about that.

I can't fucking wait for SCV. You guys should give it a try before flooding this place with your salty tears.

My advice? TRY before you CRY.

I played SCV, and it is AWESOME. I'm hyped and confident it will be an awesome game. ggs.

I actually like Devil Jin style being in it. I love Tekken and this video was awesome:

But stupid creative choices are still stupid (3 mimics/Patsuka/Oprryitia).

Jaywalker - I hate Tekken and even I'm intrigued by the Devil Jin moveset. I really hope that they make Harada (or the real DJ) available as a bonus character so that we can see DJ in tournament play. It might cause some competitive Tekken players to pick up the game, and it will be interesting to he what high level DJ play will be like in SC.

When they release Talim and Zasalamel as DLC they're going to make a ton of cash.

Alpha Patroklos and Omega Pyrrha seem to be the only real issue so far, and regardless of that I'm still hype about the game.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and Elysium and Kilik. LOL

Im still stoked to play the game.

Is it really a bad thing? The whole Alpha and Omega thing would be cool if a person has never played the SC series before, it can appear as something entirely new and creative.

It works out for me. The fighting styles are something that im accustomed to already, so i dont give a fuck.

The new game mechanics, the new characters/ the designs, stages, the music, the vibe, and the competitive scene is gearing to be top notch. Thats what matters to me.

Also if you havnt noticed Namco HAS been reaching out to people by game demoing outside of their country and even having strong team representatives show up to SC related events. They did a good job, and its a big step up from what they did for the last game.

I swear I posted Months ago that the Salt would start coming out in Full Force as we approached the release of the game.

I remember telling everyone Namco is Full of surprises, and we should brace for what drastic changes would come. Namdai did not dissappoint.

I was the first to post on Daishi's Twitter about how Jan 31st is too soon, the game should be pushed back 1-2 months. But I guess SFxT is coming out, even though its really a Capcom product.....

Whatever. All my characters except Bangoo are in, but I'm still going to be maining Tira and Setsuka alongside Voldo Mitsu Taki. Why wait 4 Years to play the SAME CHARACTER in the EXACT SAME WAY.....losers...

Hey I guess Vints finally has a character. Too bad he sucks shit at this game. And will only start getting wins when everyone stops playing hahaha....

As for OOF, he's the pot calling the kettle Black. Talking about people crying but he was the first to shed tears when Le Bello was getting Banned.

Adapt or Die? More like Whine and be a little Bitch.

So, Kilik is in sc5...?

The way I see it (after getting some rest lol), if KrayzieCD can make it work with sc4 maxi, then we can suck it up lol xiba or zwei ftw for me.

Even declared that I was boycotting the game. I'm actually still going to get it and play it obviously

That's why no one takes boycotts seriously. The first people who usually say they're boycotting the game are probably the biggest fans of the series who'll get the game anyway.

The 3 mimic charter will be ban from tournaments because of hit box issues. As for Alpha Pat and Omega Pyrrha they're tournaments legal.

Can you elaborate on that point? Is there something about mimic characters that would make their hitboxes an issue?

I still don't get where you guys are getting this "OOF was upset about LeBello ban" thing. I instantly accepted that he should be banned at important tournaments and majors. Only a fool would be against banning a pre-order only character. My only argument against the ban was in regards to insignificant small local tournaments. I felt that it isn't necessary to ban him in small local tournaments where a bunch of friends gather to compete. And even then I'm still perfectly fine with him being banned from those if that's what people want.

It's almost like you guys want me to be mad about him being banned. lol

j1y: For example bigger character like asta, sig, night, usually have longer range to compensate for the opponent they make these character have bigger hit boxes so your attack have a better chance of hitting them at further ranges. Character with smaller bodies usually short range, thus they have a smaller hit boxes. So the problem with Mimics is have for example asta style but having a smaller hitbox. Now this is not game breaking or anything, but this would cause problems if both opponents were low on health.

I guess another reason would be mimics always changing the weapons style every round. The problem I see is the one fighting the mimic has to adjust to 3 characters, whereas the one the one using the Mimics only has to adjust to theopponents style

Oof posting multiple time in the Toronto thread about Dampierre. Then in the First SC5 Tournament thread he derailed that thread about how much he want Dampierre, and to change the rules. Then created a thread open to the whole community in an attempt to try and sway everyone to allow Dampierre in tournaments. This is why we think you're upset or ragging probably about Dampierre being ban.

And Dino stop talking you don't know shit.

Who wants to go to A&C on Wednesday Feb 1st? I'll be bringing my PS3 with Dampierre of course. Hopefully we can get some SF/MvC/KoF/MK players interested in trying it out.

Plus I'm curious to see what people will bring to the table after a day of practice.

I have work on wednesdays now until 7, so I will come by if i'm not too out of it. How are people's schedules on thursdays, fridays and saturdays?

Just to clear things up so that nobody is misinformed by Eli, just like it was in SC3 with Olcadan, the mimic characters will be tournament legal under official community rules.

Hit-box is not an issue because it is constant. Unlike CaS where it can constantly change and is unrealistic to train against, EM, Kilik, and Elysium will always have the same hit-box and can be trained against.

The random character cycling isn't a factor. I spoke to Jaxel about it and he even told me that it's just a small bonus for anyone who's invested the time to master every single style in the game.

If you want to verify the legality of mimics, as well as anything else, you can view the official 8wayrun ruleset here:

http://8wayrun.com/wiki/tournament-ruleset/

As you can see, only CaS characters, Dampierre, and Devil Jin will be banned.

Dampierre is only banned until everyone can download him. I don't agree with the Devil Jin ban however. The reason for his banning is pretty weak. When we were playing SC2 in the arcades and then console, no one was banned, which included Charades (mimic). What's up with 'em bans?

Why is everyone bitching about SCV? The game isn't even out. Stop speculating and suck it up until the release date, at least. Yeah, it looks bad...but if you're a real fan you'll stick it out until you've actually TRIED it. smh

Well we'll see as the Mimics might be ban from our tournament this February.
In other news only 9 more days, dam this month is so slow....
