[Arizona] AZ and friends!

And I literally havent touched the game once since the last tourney, I was on the sfxt train briefly, but I now think that the game is broken and ass so I'm back on sc5.

I assume you're basing this opinion on a solid amount of play time with SFxT and not 10-year old experience with SVC: Chaos?

(jab, jab)

SVC chaos? wow, thats a low blow. never touched that game, it was terrible.

basing it on the fact that the tekken cast is hella OP. glitches galore, 1 week in, infinites with steve, kazuya, xauiyu, jin is a broke glitchfest, and ANY char in the game, with akuma as an anchor can do the ex tastu freeze glitch, and any char can infinite with jabs, or any move thats fast enough. lets see, rolls are 100% safe, whiffed moves build a ton of meter, and alot of the tekken cast have moves that are 100% safe. standing jabs hit crouching opponents with all of the cast, the game has normalized hitboxes, so chars like hugo whos head is above the life bar, has the exact same hitbox as a char like lili.

David can tell you when I called hilde being broken in SC4 the first time I played agaisnt his hilde and saw the RO and combo potential.

I'm not going to ManaWerx tonight, sorry guys. :\ I feel like crap and the prospect of going to work tomorrow on no sleep like this isn't too promising.

SFxT is a total slop fest, it makes SC5 look hyper-tuned in comparison. Frankly, anyone who is encouraging any developer that treats its customer base like Capcom did deserves what it gets (you can see all of the rough edges that were skipped in order to develop the DLC, ugh).

I was making fun of Sabre's statement about how SC5 was broken based on his 10 minutes with SC2 a decade ago.

I don't know what the full results were but top 3 were

1) SPQR
2) kPc
3) DrDogg

Ail Cross and Destinizish also placed high. Everyone's gameplay leveled up from the last tourney, except for DrDogg who's still wasting time with ZWEI. It's okay though, we all know DrDogg is #1 if they bring back the clock-based Tekken moves.

^ cool. i should be able to make it out to the next one. If anyone near tempe goes out to this i could def use a ride next time. I maybe be able to ride with kyo, but im not sure if he will be able to make it by tournament start time

Hey for all you guy's that were at the tourney the other night and I said that today was a good day, I'm sorry I'm going to be busy. If we could post pone this to the weekend it would be awesome. Please hit me up at 901-490-2579 for any questions.

oh yeah it was at UAT for anyone that didn't know. University of Advancing Technology. 2627 West Baseline Rd. Tempe, AZ

Dear Dr. Dogg,
I was watching the stream from Wednesday's tournament. And I felt compelled to say that you have not reached my expectations. I did not realize the fact that I was yelling at the screen about you having 2 and i say again 2 full meters. And keep in mind I'm trying to say this in the most respectful of ways. I know I might not be as skilled as you, but still wth?! When I was watching this with my friend I was betting with him that you would win both times, because I thought you were more skilled than the other players(no offense to other players). You.... really let me down. I hope you train even harder for the next tournament.

DrDogg doesn't use meter. What do you think this is? A 2D fighter? Meter is for Capcom games. That said, Yoshimitsu's brave edges are really bad. There's no point to the manji fist brave edge when you can do iMCF. And his 3aB brave edge can be stepped into launch punishers, and doesn't even guard break on block. You can't just randomly throw CE with Yoshi and he doesn't have many combos that lead into it. The best use he has for meter is GI, to be perfectly honest.

Dr.Dogg is bad at this game. Don't underestimate SPQR/KPC either.

Or anyone in the AZ community for that matter, quite a few are getting better, esp since I was super rusty and hadn't seen any competitive play since neomaxico, haha.

I see that you're in Gilbert. Are you coming out to the team tournament on Saturday at UAT?

I use meter with ZWEI and my new character, but I haven't used it much with Yoshi because his BEs just aren't that good (as SPQR pointed out). I have been trying to work more GIs into my Yoshi game, but since my background is almost entirely 3D, working meter into my game (especially after playing SC4 for so long) is awkward to say the least. I still use the old GI command from time to time because I'm so used to it.

Another thing to note is that I do not expect Yoshi to remain my main unless he's buffed in the upcoming patch. I think he's severely lacking in high level play, and it's only a matter of time before he sees even less tournament usage than he does now. I'm only using Yoshi at the moment because he's my best character, ZWEI is terrible, and my new character isn't ready for tournament play yet.

I'm hoping this will change with the patch, but we'll see. I do agree that I can definitely do more with Yoshi though. I need to GI more, I need to go for max damage off of his launchers/stuns, and I need to go for more iMCF setups (he doesn't have very many anymore, but I only use one or two at the moment).

I have been training quite a bit, and you will see my Yoshi improve... especially since I have to take down kPc and SPQR now. Thanks for the feedback, it's always appreciated.

I'm definitely try to come to Saturday's tournament. Its a high possibility because of were I'm going to be tomorrow I'm pretty close and I want to go to the tournament and test out my Xiba. What time does the casual start again?
