I can say that having a good quality stick with nice parts is what made me come back. It's like driving a Ferrari in a road race vs. using a Geo Metro.
Back on topic: As a Mitsu player since SC1, the beauty of his style has always been that he is generally equipped to handle every situation. He may not be equipped to be the best in every scenario, but he has solid tools at almost every level. This lends well to mixups, and being able to dictate the flow of play.
I look at it as Mitsu being the Ken/Ryu of this game, or the Paul Phoenix (as I am a Paul player as well). There's a certain simplicity to his moveset and character that makes him good in most matchups, and if you're effective at mixup and fishing for juggle opportunities he can do amazing damage in a short period of time. A beginner can be effective with him because of this, but there is still much to be said for him at high level play as well.
Pissed about losing Relic, though. I played some SC1 over the weekend in a retro gathering, and I wasn't aware how much I missed it until then.
