Why is it possible to pick the stage in Ranked?

I know I'm late to this thread and the topic has somewhat changed, but a quick suggestion for avoiding repeat matches with rage quitter in rank: On 360, you can view the last person you played against on your recent players list in the guide menu. If you select to leave feedback on the player, you can choose to avoid him/her in the future. I don't know how well this feature actually works, but I do it every time someone rage quits on me, or trolls with thunder drums, or is otherwise lame, and I've never been matched with any of them again. And I do tend to get rematched with people somewhat often otherwise.

I've never thought of that before, even thought it seems like an obvious solution. Looks like I'll be doing that to all the ragequitters in Global/ranked from now on :D

I recently started playing ranked because opponents in player and GC were too spaced out. Ranked is the best way to get quick matches.
I always pick the stage lmao. Idk what it's called it's the pat/pyrrha looking one w 3 walls and one edge, w one breakable wall. I pick it because it's my fave stage not because it gives me an advantage. Anyway I wouldn't really care if random stage is forced and also wouldn't care if CAS were unusable although I would care if you had to pick default costumes for existing chars bc that would be dumb. I also don't care about ragequitters, the ranking system or how much like tournaments ranked is/should be.

It doesn't work especially well.

The more I play ranked, the more people are right. Ranked is a joke. I'm ranked C3 and when fighting other C ranked people almost all of them are crappy players. Literally 1 in every 20 matches I will fight someone who is actually decent.

or maybe all of them don't know ZWEI very well.
