You must be new to the SC series...Ivy is below average speed...her CE does equal damage as her Embrace of Lust against an enemy with their back turned and her attacks are one of the weakest in the game...her unblockables have been nerfed to an insane degree except for Serpent's Venom and there is almost no hitting with that. Sig and NM have those huge swords that do an insane amount of damage...fine...those swords are big so they have some reach...fine...but they shouldn't be able to move as fast as they do...no where near as fast. Ivy is faster than maybe 2 people in the whole game and a lot of her attacks leave her vulnerable on block and she has lost almost all of her stun combos she had in the previous games. Her quick "sword state" attacks do barely more than tickle the opponent and her "whip state" attacks are extremely slow and widely unsafe...I'm NOT asking for a buff...I'm asking for a speed boost and some type of safety when my attacks are blocked. You'd know if you were familiar with any SC games at allAnother patch would cost Namco lots of money. Sieg and Nm are NOT fast. At all. They are among the slowest in the game. You think a 'small ass sword' would do more damage than a 'big ass sword?' Probably not. Ivy is faster than Sieg and Nm. Ivy's CE is easily one of the best in the game. Far from useless. She's not so slow. She's decent speed maybe slightly above average. Also, yeah, you ARE asking for a buff. A stupid one.
Ring, please forgive me for this:snip
I've been playing the series for about 4 years. Not new to it. 44A6 vs BT'ed opponent only. Who gets hit by that as consistently as they get hit be Ivy's CE other than Voldo players? 100 damage is more than most CE's. Thats GREAT damage. She is TECHNICALLY slower than &5 characters and trades with 4. She's pretty fast TECHNICALLY. Not technically, she's about average speed. Also, you ARE asking for a buff. 'Quoting you: I asking for a speed boost and some type of safety when my attacks are blocked.' That's asking for a buff. making something faster or safer is a buff. Lol you're smart.Snip
Ahh you beat me to this. Also Ivy's fastest attack is 4B which is i11.Snip
You can only use color edits on default costumes in most rulesets including the official 8WR ruleset. So bumblebee, Christmas, candy cane, zebra etc. 2P Ivy should be fair game. What are tournament rules on character creation costumes/ color edits?
Not sure how to interpret this other than "Link runs an escort service on the side to fuel tournament expenses."Are ... are you hitting on me? I'm an expensive date, just so you know. =P
I think people just give me extra points for not looking like a stereotypical gamer.
It's purpose is solely wallsplat which leads to 150-170 dmg combo.im just doing a little research into one of my least used characters...
6B8 BE does near negligible extra damage... 4-8 at most.
It pushes you away from the ring edge, rather than ringing the opponent out... (unless they are already rung out, in which case, it does not save them... but that makes absolutely no difference and would obviously be a waste of meter.)
Its no faster, and it leaves you in arguably a worse position on the field, out of range for most of her standover mixups... if not all.
im in no way a knowledgeable Ivy player, but this move seems worthless... am i right?
oh of course, why didnt i think of that? this is why i usually train in the forests... walls and RO edges...It's purpose is solely wallsplat which leads to 150-170 dmg combo.

Evidently smarter than you...a buff is more damage for your attacks...not more speed for your characters Ivy's attack damage is sub-par as compared to other games...she's lost a lot of her technical gameplay..experienced players knows her throws are almost all she has and knows how to duck them and break out of a majority of them. Her attack throws are slow and widely and easy to block..her attacks don't track nearly as well as sig and NM VERTICALS. Yes...her CE does more damage than a lot of peoples but her meter is best spent on her BEs if you've mastered CS which is only 7 weaker than her CE. Zoning is pointless against Sig, NM, Mitsurugi, Astaroth, and "kilik". Ivy is known for her range, throws, and godly combos (which no longer exist in this game). If you're familiar with SC II III and IV Ivy then you should be ashamed to call yourself an Ivy player. I wish you the best of luck hitting with Ivy's longest range attacks in this game...her "whip state attacks" are entirely too easy to block in this game because she has sort of a start up animation to almost every move. Ivy faster than Siegfried? Don't make me laugh...you've never played against a good sig or NM player that mastered their JF attacks. I've played against enough of them to have a good fight and win 85% of the time but let me tell you...Ivy is no longer the Ivy the SC world knows and fears. She's ridiculously easy to play against now no matter who you use against her. I should know...I killed her in 5 hits with NM and she hit me at least 30 times and my health wasn't even in the yellow. Yes her throws are strong...but if you know how to fight against Ivy you know when they're coming and she's too slow to do anything about it. I love Ivy more than any of you which is why I realize how bad her mechanics are in this game...the "improvements" pale to the disappointments.I've been playing the series for about 4 years.
