Leixia next patch 1.04 update???

<_> In other random news, I figured out what the deal is with the feints. The feint does the exact same amount of damage as the second part of whatever string you're interrupting (in the case of 6B/4A+B) and in the case of 44A, it does the same amount of damage as plain 44A. 20. Whee. I swear I saw 16 though.


And Fallen, I'm just going to ignore the rest of the "6B string has options" thing. You already confirmed my suspicions. Not really suspicions, but observations about the string. So whatevs.
 
1) Not hit-confirmable.
2) We didn't talk about 6BA as a combo but the 6BA/6BaB mix-up on block alone (i.e. only mixing up between 6BA and 6BaB on block. Why are people missing that?! Seriously?!

6B is primarily a punisher, so that's supposed to be the reason to use it. On block of course it's not something to spam.
 
The thing is, though, Mitsurugi's explicitly hits OTG - Leixia's... doesn't.

Besides, CE into CE is hardly the combo of the century, considering you have to have two bars and then use ALL of it for damage that Viola can get with one BE!

What if double CE were brought back with some of the following modifications?

1: CE's damage is reverted to its original 1.01 damage

2a: CE, CE only combos on a counter hit. This limits how Leixia can combo into it. No more willy-nilly combos after everything that sends the opponent airborne.

2b: CE, CE only combos off of a raw hit. Any attack prior to CE will prevent the combo. This will force one of the following situations for double CE: a whiff punish, a frame trap, or an aGI from 44B+K/22B+K.

What is it that's so appalling about her having a restricted double CE with nerfed damage? Using double CE means she has to go without BE and GI until she saves up 2 full stocks, then has to rebuild from scratch.

Sure, it's a lot of damage, but there's plenty of ways to exploit a meter less Leixia. Take Maxi or Viola for example. Leixia needs meter to mitigate their strings without taking huge risks.

No. The double CE should never come back despite what changes u want to it...the same should apply to cervantes and rugi.....heck even zwei. The thing about leixia's double CE is that after ur hit when that split second your char is coming up from the ground u get hit with another one......plus it did 145+ damage all of that just doesn't seem right....

Okay, so you're in favor of all double CE's being removed. I can respect that, but all things considered, her comeback potential was murdered when they took out her double CE. That one thing alone made her upper-mid tier and tournament-competitive. Without buffing or changing anything else, this one thing could make her fully viable again.

If Namco is willing to actually go through and give her the time to make REAL changes (including continuity on all double CE's), I'd be more than willing to go without it, but the cheap, quick fix seems to be their MO so far.

Personally if the top 5 chars in this game got their damage toned down and some of their bullshit tools not bullshit anymore than yeah leixia would probably do alot better. Heck even zwei and raph would do better if some chars got their B.S. gone....another thing is zwei doesn't even need the Double CE same for rugi and cervantes..know why? it doesn't help them and if it's use to win a round to me it's just all a waste of meter....so overall double CE's just become a crutch in the final round. So i wouldn't mind if their all gone, im also going to add no CE should ever ring out either....already does a shit ton of damage.

I agree. A few small nerfs to the top and a few small changes to the bottom would go a VERY long way to making the game balanced.

As for RO CE... I'm looking at you, Hilde. If I recall, Maxi, Natsu, and Mitsurugi can also ring out with their CE's.

Sieg, Tira, Patroklos, Astaroth(if you count the options after it), Zwei (see Asta), Viola (see Asta), and Algol (see Asta) can too.
