Missing character discussion

At most, he/she will probably be around the 15-17 range, unless they do a year time skip then he/she would be from 15 to 18.

The second option is an older Zasalamel.

Indeed, but will he always be missing an eye? Since in his SC4 ending he was still the same?
Yes, the story goes that his soul is contained in the yellow eye. So he always has that. IDK what was going on in his SC4 ending. If it's true that he isn't immortal, but just reincarnates, then what is the same guy from 1590 doing in the year 2009? Unless it was just a vision of the future. IDK.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure if we see Zas again, it will be an older version of the black Moorish guy. I don't think PS would take a popular character and replace him with a younger version that no one likes... oh wait.

But to still have the name Zasalamel would be kind of weird. I feel like it'd be a younger black kid that grows up to just happen to look like Zasalamel. But that would be if he was dead anyways.

It's he :D "he continued to age, and eventually died, his soul was immediately reborn in another body, a body that would grow up to be identical to his original body, even including his signature golden eye.In addition, he retained all the memories from his original life, and continued to exist as Zasalamel. " Learn your story people pshh. Jk lol.

The idea of reincarnation is that the individual can reincarnate to many things. Male or female, animals and plants, but Zasalamel will probably just be human. The "grow up to his original body" thing is just a nonsense excuse for him to remain a male of African descent.

the grow up to his original body thing makes me wonder. What if he was born female? O_O

He wouldn't be haha. He is IDENTICAL to his original body. I have no problem with Zas being female but it just wont happen." continued to exist as Zasalamel." He remains as Zasalamel. The quote I used is taken from his story not something I made up haha. He has been reborn countless times and always comes back the exact same person after age.

Storywise, I can only come up with two reasons why Zas wasn't in the game.

1)He died and he's reincarnated into a body that is yet incabable of combat. Or at least, not up to it's full potential (too young) to handle his scythe at it's full speed, power and deadly grace.

2)It's possible that's he's doing something alittle more secretive or possibly researching the swords. After all, the two swords were gone for seventeen yrs. Coming from the ancient tribe that guarded SC in the past and from experience, I'm quite sure that Zas knows the swords will come back. If he wanted to obtain them and guide humanity, he'll need to come up with the perfect plan to harvest their powers.

Researching about the swords seems plausible so he could be in Astral Chaos like Cass and Algol. With his magic abilities, he could be lying low and conducting his plan in secret. As to why he didn't come out when Pat awoken SC and Nightmare/Dumas was reawakening SE, perhaps he's discovering some sort of truth to their endless cycle of appearance through history and he knew it'd be pointless to pursue the swords when his plan wasn't ready yet. After all... he has all the time in the world to wait for them to come back...

SCVI---->Coming to a store near you in a few more years.

Wait, wat? Where is this at? I just re-read the wiki and I didn't see that part. Here's all it says about his reincarnation:

This magician lives eternally, renewing his body each time his life ends, drifting endlessly through time.

...

What he sought was the art of reincarnation. He found this secret art-which many had sought and failed to obtain-within knowledge thought to have been lost long ago. After a long period of study and training, he obtained the power for his own and became a being that could cross the ages.

He could not have anticipated the great cost of this freedom. Every time he "died," he experienced a nihilistic feeling as if sinking into hell, and a pain as if his body were being ground into dust...He had distorted the laws of causality set down by the gods and torn off the shackles of time. His body would bear the burden of the result of his actions. In exchange for obtaining eternal life, Zasalamel had lost a peaceful death.

He reincarnated repeatedly over many generations. In the beginning, he was able to stand the suffering of death. He had thought there could be nothing better than the joy of life. Over time, however, the joy he gained from life waned and the pain of death increased. Time was infinite. Anything he wanted to do, he could accomplish. Any enthusiasm he felt for living had all but disappeared many lifetimes ago, but he could not escape the eternal circle of reincarnation...

That's all it says. Maybe you read it in the same place I heard about his eye containing his soul. IDR if it said anything about his body being the same every time too.

Maybe it was the ending of his arcade or story mode?

It was taken from the Soul Calibur Wiki. Not the 8WR Version. It is data checked and verified because it is a popular wiki :D

Zas was a cool adition in the game, to bad he was not put in the game,
And S&S dont mind so much if they change the way each one play, but dont go under this discussion all over again nomeaning for this

I thought necrid was a bad character design. He looked totally out of place. Too comic-book-ish. I'm personally glad he won't ever be back.

I assure you you aren't. But I personally find Algol much like necrid.

I actually miss Necrid for his moveset, I always like that hybrid style (which maybe should be a CaS feature or something, mixing movesets). Character design on the other hand was a bit comicbookish, but not that much more than around half the SC cast in general.

And Algol has a Necrid feel to it now that you mention it, I had not considered it.

No, they better not let people mix movesets, or else we'll end up with stupidly overpowered CAS characters like MK Armageddon.

I'm not saying is a perfect fit, I'm just saying it would be fun. For example, perhaps CaS shouldn't be allowed on ranked matches anyway (some people really abuse items to conceal movement), or maybe that kind of char build should be restricted to "special versus" like in SCIV; balancing equipment to determine passives and stats was fun as hell, even if it made the game unbalanced. Variety doesn't need to brake the game, you just have to mark the boundries well enough.
