Crybaby glitch?

Ok now this has been happening to me since the first day I started playing Leixia.
Has ANYONE else felt like there was a glitch with crybaby that sometimes makes you stand up and attack instead?

I've lost a few matches to Natsus in particular when trying to roll and then do crybaby or simply doing crybaby once I hit the ground. She'll stand up into the bomb, or whatever move, and eat CH dmg instead of crying like she's supposed to.

And no, I'm not pressing one button before the other, or messing up the input.

I'm surprised you haven't figured this out yourself yet. I figured it out pretty much on day 1. You cannot do Cryaby backturned, ever. If your back is turned from your opponent, no matter what side-up you landed, doing Crybaby will cause you to do a BT A.

She's not backturned. She gets up frontwards and does WS A or WS A+B.

I get WS B a lot, I've wondered this myself but mostly just assume it's an execution error.

Then again, I don't mess up A+B a lot. Do you have it assigned or are you pressing the buttons?

I don't have it assigned I just press A+B. The same way I'd do it for 6A+B, 3A+B, iWS A+B or any other A+B move.

Another thing I just tested, If I'm lying on the ground doing repeated crybabys, sometimes she'll get up and WS B/WS A instead. At first I thought it was because I was inputting A+B too fast, but that wouldn't explain it randomly happening when I only try to do 1 crybaby.

I'm sure in some of my videos it appears I stand up into oki at seemingly stupid times. That's usually due to this. I'll look through some of them and try to point them out.

I think I'm going to assign A+B to a button for a week and see if I still have an issue. Like I said, I pretty much never mess up A+B anywhere else, but if it's not an execution error I can't for the life of me figure out what's triggering it.

Yeah I may try that. I only assign 3 of my top buttons (L1,L2,R1) since I play "claw style" (fingers instead of thumb) and put the pad on my leg.

I also use 2 A+B+K binds, one for CE and the other for GI and BE. (lol, sounds weird, but it's harder for me doing a fast 236236 motion with my thumb and pressing L1 at the same time with the same hand.)

Certain knockdowns make it seem like you cant even crybaby. I usually just recognize these and adapt, not trying to crybaby on them. It is weird though and really inconsistent, happens to me way too often.

If you're in too much groundstun (lightning is still on you) you can't crybaby. I knew about that. That's just so crybaby doesn't interrupt every grounded hit combo in the game.

I have an A+B bind and I haven't had this problem yet.

I play a PAD with default settings (A+B set to R1). I've never accidentally stood up during Cry-Baby while not backturned. Probably an input error. It's possible that this game requires tighter timing on the inputs than previous games.

I tend to get WS A+B at times, which is the main reason why I brought it up. That would mean I am doing the A+B input correctly, but something else had triggered it.

Yeah used to get this a lot. I have a crybaby button so it can't be execution error. Sometimes she'll get up and do WR A+B. I never tested why it happens, but these days I tend to avoid buffering Crybaby after I get knocked down. However, once you perform one crybaby you can keep smashing (buffering) A+B to continue to annoy your very annoyed opponent.

I don't know why this thread popped up in my alerts, but it did.

This happens to me too. I have A+B on a button. Once in a while, I'll attempt to crybaby and instead wake up.

It's one thing to get everything wrong all the time, but it's another thing to call out another member and criticise them, and get your explanation wrong in the process. Imo you need to do a whole lot less talking and posting, and a whole lot more listening and learning.

Every single time I perform BT crybaby with R1, Leixia stands up and does a BT attack. And ZeroEffect seems to agree with me that it cannot be done while in BT. Also, it's been a while since I played SCIV, but wasn't Xianghua actually capable of performing Crybaby BT?

That said, I remember WS A+B:ing a few times on accidents a few times. I think it occurs if you try to buffer Crybaby while not yet on the ground or having just landed on the ground.

Ive had problems with Maxi with this same type of thing. I can be in FC and I have a B+K assigned. Sometimes I hit my ASSIGNED button and get WS B. I think we have simular issues. Gotta be game related I would guess.

I think my problem is related to this new wonky buffering system that I cant fuckin stand.

Every single time I perform BT crybaby with R1, Leixia stands up and does a BT attack. And ZeroEffect seems to agree with me that it cannot be done while in BT.

Leixia can crybaby regardless of which way she's facing. Xianghua could only crybaby while FDHT, or FUFT.

I must me misremembering then. Haven't played IV in a year and V in a month (left my game at a friend's house). And I kept standing up into BT A (I think) when BT Crybabying. Must've been mistimings.
