Kayane Needs Your Help to Get to Tougeki SBO (Japan)

Thank you WCMaxi, your words make me feel better...was wondering if everybody wanted me to lose right now, seriously.

I have right now 550$, and the best I can hope from donations is 1000$.
 
I think we can all agree that Kayane is a somewhat a Symbol of Soul Calibur. No other community has a gamer girl of such highest level. Not to mention she is also pretty. She is unique! Lets just do our best to send her to SBO. It will be the first time a female player wins Tougeki. Lets make this happen as a community!
 
There was this one time a female player got 2nd in Arcana Heart at Tougeki. But yeah. No need to hate.
 
I would also like to know the donation period. What's your deadline?

I have donated to other players before. I have donated to 8wayrun...same shit different day.

Kayane is a veteran to the community and she's always been a top dog skill wise, she's playing a broken ass character and representing USA...what's to hate?

BTW it's kinda sad how people go to tournaments, place, and still don't have enough paper to travel. Kayane you need to get yourself a sponsor.

Kayane please tell us you are practicing those 200+ damage Viola combos off a single launcher.. [or the infinite backthrow?]

Everyone getting salty about her taking a US spot, why didn't you go there and defeat her? There's a few US players who could have repped well.
 
I get paid this week...after I handle my business with Summer Jam 6. I could be able to throw Kayane 20 dollars. the only thing I want from Kayane is to watch MLP:Friendship is Magic in English without any breaks.

this has to do with the fact that there was little announcement to it, the front page 8 way run post announcing the SBO qualifier and information for it was deleted, and there was not enough time for other players who found out too late to prepare to fly out to cali to participate, kayane just happened to be in san diego

Very true and I dont know why still. If you are trying to troll or be salty, the only folks who should be salty are those who actually played for the spot and lost. You get a right to be mad when you lose a tourney or a match, we are human. Heck you could be mad over the lazy attitude of those who could have shown up but where like naw... just saying there are people close in socal that didnt bother to show. You can even be baffled on why the heck the annoucement was deleted. But now that thats all over and done why crap on the winner like they where cheating. She got the W, but needs some help, if you can help a player who wants to get to a tourney then do it. If not dont be an idiot and act like you have home training.

if people wanna ask why other top players didnt show up, and then try to blame them like its there fault, here or in any other thread, then thats not cool, not everyone can just drop everything and fly to cali on short notice, whats done is done, but nobody needs to play captain hindsight about who shoulda known about what and done about it
 
I got you Kayane. Im personally proud that you are pretty much an icon to this community. You rep us proud and I am forever grateful. You are the face of this community (and a pretty one at that) and Im proud of you and all your acomplishments. Have fun and stay safe. Ill be watching!!

Things like the negativity in this thread make me ashamed to call myself an 8wayrun member. We have one of the best players in the world that needs a little help and all she got was hate. Seriously its no wonder why we are the joke of the FGC. Its idiots like this that give us that persona. And on top of that, they are the first ones to bitch when DLC is gone, when SC6 isnt coming out, or whatever. Yall need to suck it up.
 
I'm actually happily surprised by the comments of some members, hope in 8wr restored kudos to HRD and Malice. If the community can just ignore some...jerks that posted here earlier...and move forward we are on the right way.

Did I want Kayane, a French player to win an American SBO qualifier? No. Is there something not classy about this? Not at all. This isn't a hippie bonfire, this is a competitive fighting game where one side loses and one side wins. People have the right to choose sides, nothing wrong with this. If she's such a pro player she should have a tough skin. Hell, I walk into tourneys knowing no one wants me to win. It shouldn't hurt anyone's feelings.
