Should Algol Be Banned

Plume, I already dominate Algol, but keep living in your fantasy world where people give a shit what you think.
If all of you want to make a statement about Algol being banned, don't show up to tourneys and quit the game (plz plz plz), all 5 of the people who just can't live without Algol in their world, won't be missed. The rest will man up and move on, regardless of who is banned and who isn't.

If somehow he stays legal (I realllllly don't care if he does or not) I will continue to play and pick really easy counters to beat him.

Because there some of us who think this decision is ridiculous and don't want to give into ignorance. Hopefully people realize this and allow him in tournaments, I know he's still unbanned in a few so far.

Also the economy is a big deal, but going by that shitty logic you can just say real life trumps games. I mean why are you playing a video game with the economy in this kind of mess? You sure have your priorities in the shitter.

Oh wait I forgot, this is recreation! The thing we do for fun that has nothing to do with real life issues like the economy. Fortunately for the people who want Algol to remain legal, evidence is on our side. None of this "but he might be able to become unbeatable if someone plays him perfectly every round" bullshit should matter. The same can be said with many other characters. I

But yeah there are plenty of ways to beat Algol, the people that want him banned would rather not discuss that though. Hence all the calls to close this thread, and "make a decision already!" The longer this discussion goes on, the less likely that he'll be banned, and that scares a lot of people that can't beat him.

He is beatable. Bubbles aren't that big a deal - the ONE time I would say they're at all a pain is when one obscures the screen 100% - but as stated before there are PLENTY of ways to counter them.

I'm heavily confused though, is he banned or not?

I understand the soft ban a lil bit, and to be perfectly honest, watching Algol play is fucking DULL, but that doesn't mean he should be banned...where the fuck did freedom go?

You shouldn't decide on banning a character through tourney results...those aren't 'cold, hard statistics' they are variable statistics because a human is playing that character. Judging in this manner robs the player of his achieved effort (even if it is cheap)...however, if you see some clearly broken or overpowered crap, and that person is clearly showing us that said move/s is broken, then yes, Algol should be banned.

However people only seem to be complaining about his bubbles. The only valid argument to banning Algol because of his bubbles is that he becomes inconsistent in relation to the rest of the cast...but so is Yoda.

Honestly, If Algol is banned so should Yoda; and honestly, I'd rather see Yoda go rather than Algol because he really doesn't belong.

Don't ban Algol for the time being. We can hope that no one is sad enough to just spam his bubbles all day, and if someone does so, they wont exactly be recieving props will they?

Ummm.... Yoda IS banned. I'm not saying ban Algol, but read about something before talking about it.

i hope that part of your post was not directed towards me directly. first of all i NEVER once posted that he was un-beatable, top tier or any of the sort. IF anything all i posted was that i been on both sides of the spectrum and i can relate to everyone's arguments. That's all.

And i'm sorry that my priorities aren't in order they way you think they should be. I was making an example of that there are other things in life to bitch, whine, worry about instead of poor little ol algol. one of which IS the economy. So yes, i would like to be concerned about the REAL LIFE issues that's going on in todays socieity.

I can definitely see this happening. For legitimate reasons playwise and purely out of 'he's annoying' too.

In all honesty though; these discussions are going to happen on a forum about said game...

So does your brain only have enough capacity to do one thing or the other, or do you not understand what the term "relevance" means? There are plenty of political forums to discuss the economy on. I didn't mean that Algol is top-tier. I mean that in those people that main him, that don't know any better, are the people that continusily bitch about him being banned. If you don't main him, then that statement doesn't apply to you, therefore not needing a response from you directly. I'm not saying that you CAN'T respond, i'm just saying that it wouldn't be necessary.

2. I don't see you in tournaments and i don't know of you, unless you play under a different name. So for you to come off and call me a scrub (not really you KZ, just other people that say that) kinda offends me and i'm like "who the FUCK are you and what makes you think that i'm a scrub"

unless you're part of the nationals committee and you have a justifiable agrument, OR you're a tournament organizer, i don't see the need to posts pointless posts in this thread. it's done, it's over...
