I have to say: that was the best WTF moment in a FG. In any case, every character will come back in the next game anyway.
Back to the topic, Odashima said recently in an interview something interessing: the fans should keeping supporting this game and, if we're going to get a SCVI, he would like to work on the next game. I guess they're already working on something big.

Odashima needs to put his foot down and demand some stuff to happen. I only gave him the benefit of the doubt about SCV because this is his first time directing a game.

here's what i think is gonna happen. we continue to support scv, our community grows and namco takes notice. 2 years later, namco announces big news for fighting game fans. daishi gets up on stage and calms the crowd down. "thank you for your paitience and support over the last few years. in return, the Soul Calibur universe....will now have Mitsurugi as an unlockable skin in Tekken Tag 2 Reloaded! Haha fuck you guys!

Nice, I'm glad to hear that. At least it's a ray of hope. I think people are still supporting the game, no matter the few people who feel the need to announce to the community that they're leaving. So we're fulfilling our end of the deal, now the ball is in Namco's court.

Anyway I guess, if they are working in the next game, it is great I can't have a inpersonal view of this game, cuz I like the chars, so I'm happy.
I think us fans should stop arguing if the story is important or not, we should think about how to help imrove the series =)
