To me, I don't care if you consider it the same style. A different animation (and, for that matter, different button-execution) denotes a different personal style. It may be of the same discipline but it's definitely not the same style. Style refers to the visual display of the move. .-. Cass and Sophi were very different. Pyrrha and Patricia are extremely different. People that can't see this lack creativity. The only ones close to being a true clone in S&S were the older variant of Lizardman. At first, nearly all of his moves match Sophi. Eventually he gets his own kick-button-based moves and throws. Oh and we're going to ignore Ms. Omega... she doesn't deserve her own character slot.

That said, Longsword Cassie would please me. o3o

All of the moves in the game are meant to do the exact same thing - damage. Shit, look at all these clones.

Caveat - Yoshi can heal . :v derp
 
Since we're talking about giving veterans new weapons, I think the following should be taken into consideration:

*Taki - Kusarigama and Shurikens
*Seong Mi-Na or Kilik: Double Bladed Staff or Three Section Staff
*Xianghua: Chinese Fan & Sword or Butterfly Daggers
 
since natsu got the role of ninja in the tight body suit, how about a taki redesign...maybe with slightly more traditional japanese attire and kurma instead of daggers?
