If you aren't going to become a top level tournament player, you are never going to master the character anyways. As such, tiers won't apply to you. That doesn't mean they don't exist, it just means they never come into play FOR YOU.

Play whoever you want, but if you want to become truly good, then tiers help you measure an effort to results ratio. Wouldn't it suck to put thousands of hours into a character, reach tournament level play, and find out you are handicapped against similarly skilled players?

That's why you don't lie to people about it.

I'm not trying to "win" an argument. I'm trying to prevent people from spreading false information.

XD I can never have a peaceful thread; I can't post without having a war as usual. Might as well call me the belligerent master. I love you guys (An attempt to make shit weird to hopefully shoo you guys away with your tier bs. Hopefully its a success).

Time for some Raph training, unless someones got more advice, opinions, tips, & info that I could use.

A. tiers are not set in stone
B. characters can be mis-tiered (see early days MvC2 Blackheart)
C. was Tira ever thought to be low or bottom tier?
D. competent and talented play can overcome tiering

People needs to brush up on what tiering actually means from a statistical stand point and all that.

She was, by a good amount of ignorant people. The majority of them, being bad to mediocre players of the Tira SA.

Actual good players like Hyrul always knew how strong she was, long before EVO.

Btw its funny how practically every SA regards their own character as worse than he actually is. Char bias is a real thing.
