360 vs ps3

On topic. PS3 does lack the whole communication thing but that can also be a good thing. Since it doesn't come with a mic you don't have to worry about everyone and their mother talking shit to you for no reason. One of the reasons I prefer to play shooters on the ps3 is because there are less 8 year old kids calling me a racial slur.

I know for a fact that Resistance 3 allows you to sign into multiple ids to play its multiplayer and coop modes. I believe Uncharted 3 also has this feature implemented but I haven't used it personally. Littlebigplanet also employs this to a degree, allowing you to sign into the other accounts on the ps3, though I'm not sure if each account gets everything carried over to their own account or not.

Not since the first couple of years the console was out, unless you count the PSClassics stuff.

Apparently, due to some BS involving DVD formatting or something I read on the internet, only some PS2 titles were even possible to play on the PS3.

Don't count on it. Just know that the PS3 has more RPGs, and is the current console of choice for the Tales series.

Nothing beats leaving party chat to hear some random kids voice cracking while they rage at you, then go right back in party chat with a smile, knowing you did a good job. Fuck PS3!!! It's a great Blu ray player though :)

I have manly hands that even Siegfried acknowledges and the puny PS3 controllers shatter in my hands. All jokes aside R2 buttons fear Maxi's B+KBBBA.

the console itself is better, the quality of an xbox is good if you want to save money, but if you can afford it, ps3 is clearly the best option

the only thing i find "better" on the xbox than in the ps3 is the kinect, ps3 move sucks, but bleh, those complements are stupid imo

I have this to say about the controllers: The Duel Shock 3 has better buttons/button layout and has a symmetrical design. I really like that opposed to the 360's asymmetry. I also like the fact that the D-Pad is made up of four buttons. The 360's D-Pad is actually a stick trying to impose as one (and does a bad job with it). But the 360 controller feels much better to play with and it doesn't feel fragile. When you drop a 360 controller, it seems fine, but if you drop the DS3, you'll fuck it up. I've dropped my DS3 more often than the 360 pad because of how light it felt and afterwards, it starts doing weird shit. The inside of the controllers can mess up. Right now, my controller will press down, randomly or if you shake it slightly. This is a problem if you have mains like Raphael, because if you enter a Prep stance, you can find yourself doing a sudden Shadow Evade, even if you didn't input it. I remember fighting a match with HRD and I SEed like crazy. Hell, there's times when my characters crouch when I guard when I just mean for them to guard while standing. I've had to replace several DS3 controllers (which cost $54.99 btw) and I never had to do that with the 360's. Plus, it seems like the DS3 is harder to clean the dirt off of than the 360's controller.

It's good that online is free, but what does it matter if there's constant lag and disconnections with wired connections (and not just with SCV. This has happened with LBP2 and AC:B/AC:R for me). And OP said, the 360's menu is trash if it's not connected online. I like the PS3's simple interfere over that.

Actually, both Kinect and Move suck, but Kinect is worse, because it's not always accurate and nearly all of the games for it are just gimmicky, casual bullshit for non-gamers.
 
I've never had my ps3 control break and I've dropped it on concrete more than once. The main thing is to take care of your control and don't drop it.

My thoughts exactly, Wyld should have both if it isn't too much trouble on cash. That's what I would do; have Xbox 360, PS3, & Wii. Why? Isn't it obvious?
 
My ps3 controller broke after 1 and a half year i bought it, now I own a new one, but I have to say that, my brother has an xbox, and I just don't feel comfortable with the size/buttons, the dualshock is perfectly done for a very good ergonomy
 
after reading all this I'm leaning towards the ps3 heres why
- I don't play live much.
-not all that into shooters ( things tend to break stuff nuff said)I liked socom back in the day (ps3 exclusive)
-plays more rpgs and explorable worlds games
-has all of dynasty warriors games
-free live (for when (if ever i play it)) broke college student
old ps1 classics kingdom hearts series remake this year
-like exclusives better GoW /twisted metal series etc.

My thoughts exactly, Wyld should have both if it isn't too much trouble on cash. That's what I would do; have Xbox 360, PS3, & Wii. Why? Isn't it obvious?

I don't think I can afford both... broke college student but black friday is around the corner who knows.

I can't believe no one mentioned PSN+. Instead of buying a game that cost you $60 bucks you can just get PSN+ for a year and get a bunch of free downloadable games. They released RE5 gold edition this month and a while ago they released Infamous2 and Little big planet 2 for free. You also get free demos and get to play video game beta's for free.
