Maxi General Q&A

The TC comes too late it will trade with LI K you have to duck and the punish
Hmm... My testing demonstrates otherwise. (Unless my method is wrong somehow.)

You're at -14 on hit, LI K is i20, so you do have some room to get into a TC.

Also, as a bonus, here is video of Maxi ducking the LI K just to demonstrate that it can be done with very little effort.

IIRC, I added you to my friend list, right? Is just that I barely play SC5; I play mostly TTT2, but not that much lately. I'm very rusty.

I only play on weekends.

How many frames do you need to realize you blocked 22A?
Enough to realize that ducking also means you risk eating LI A BE for 3,000 damage. Of course if you block LI A you get 3,000 damage for yourself, but hey, risk/reward characters gonna risk/reward.
Also, I believe 22A on NH jails into LI K, though I might be mistaken.

it doesn't Jail.

No, you're at -14 on NH. Maxi's fastest followup is LI A at i15. LI K is i20 giving you enough time to duck. (I demonstrate this in the second video I posted above.) Maxi's 6A+B will also slip under the LIK followup so other TC moves may cause LI K in that situation problems as well.

Of course there's still LI A but there's little incentive to toss that out on NH if you know that it will probably be blocked leaving Maxi at heavy disadvantage.

Oh, well that sucks. To be honest I never thought LI was a desirable stance to be in to begin with. Outside of combos I try to avoid it as much as possible since RO is so much better.

Anyways, I've always considered it better to block LI K and be at -4 if the other side of that mixup means I can block an LI A and be at +26/+30.

It was a great Stance Pre Patch
