Vlad is finished, and i am quite happy with how it turned out...
A few others as well, will be posting a couple of new CAS when the audience has returned from xmas and NY debauchery...

Brace for a few surprises and something i never tried before in the CAS department.
In case you are guessing, i happened to stumble upon a hitman usb key goodie that i conveniently configured as a xbox memory card and CAS making. Le Bello WILL hate me for that...or not ?

As chobek put it (and so very true), CAS making is some sort of creative catharsis for us poor mortal souls suffering from earthly issues ;o)

Most of the new CAS are to be seen in the other thread (CAS-ppy new year) but here a few new ones :

edited the shirt to give it more peps and make it work with the backpack

I am sure you'll notice all the little details here and there on this design, even those hard to see like the button on top of the hat on pic 2, i'll probably rework the gradients on the shirt to make it look a tad darker

Took a hat off a warden after crushing his head with his pocket hammer, and then used it to "open" the front door with it and escaped...

Two raccoons were killed making this cas, head and stomach ;o)

Edited Leixia and here is an attempt at recreating Ulala from Space Channel 5 (Dreamcast)...typical CAS where the 3 items limit prevented me from doing what i wanted, but still funny to try...i went for the mike, instead for the headmike and sorely lacking the weird conic pistol strapped to the leg, but that would have taken the whole 3 slots probably ;o)

around 15 fights against MarKOed over the last 2 days, a cool contender, admittedly more skilled than i am (B2 i will never be ;o) even if input lag kills me and breaks the flow of my game (especially in close rounds where you need to be precise and just mis-time every single combo, grrr...)

About the CAS, there are all interesting and above average, a lot of girls with a good use of special items (that cat with the leaf on the tongue hat was fun, that robin hood tira or knight in shiny armor also, to name a few).
There is attention to detail in the thumbnail too, which is commendable, and to listen to the classic SC music is nice, i'd just like more variety in the stages (i like moody stages with good lighting) would be nice (yeah i lose a lot, so i asked for a bit of breathing space because of the adverse lag ;o)
And of course less armor breaks, but that is a bit of chance, especially because i a more often that not caught in counters mid-hit or mid-combo (yeah, you know why)

Not over the top original CAS, but always with a fresh idea (you like kitties ;o), varied in style and look (and you master the basics of all the styles pretty well)...
sometimes down-right cute CAS, or more freaky like that bloody Dampierre girl i think)...Well executed designs with good use of colors and patterns, simple but not simplistic, to the point rather than overloaded.

About your question on the blood effects, there are various ways to do realistic blood, of course the shadow tree sticker is the one i copyrighted and was the first to use on a CAS (at least document it), that works well in per axis and per view to create all kinds of blood stains, but you can also use the flame sticker for dripping, stickier blood, or the black white green dots patterns to create small blood stains, or the bamboo leaf pattern to create blood splashes...to do blood on special items (like on my vampire's teeth), you can use gradients and put red as a color, then resize, reangle to achieve the desired effect.

There's just too much to comment on. I feel you may get better reception by posting two or three designs at a time? Admittedly I'm rather overwhelmed.

That said, I'll talk about the ones on this page for now. I'm getting busier by the day, and my keyboard oft decides not to bother with half the key presses.

Colnial Leixia reminds me of Tomb Raider. And since I love Leixia, and Lara, it's definitely a huge hit from me. :D Not so keen on the leaopard print, bu that's the only issue.

Your Taki is good, but I must be the only person who doesn't outright love it. It's nice, kinda looks like Taki a bit, eh. Sorry man.

I couldn't decide whether or not the mutton chops on your trés cool Asta were offensive or not. Either way, a prison uniform that resembles bees is fantastic in my book. The patches, the chain, the hat. Yeah, ain't nothing wrong here.

Black Adder, whomeever he is, is REALLY cool, and inspiring. The hauberk coloured in such a way resembles teeth - Purposeful or not Villy-ville-vill? Either way, the extra horns are menacing, and don't look ridiculous. And the glowing eyes, all three of them, are scary.

Ulala is Ulala. Never played it, but she looks accurate enough.

I am also grouchy right now, because of work mostly, and somehow creating CAS and sharing with you.
Damn, after the save bug, i wanted to quit, then Lil Vil said, no don't, i love seeing your new CAS.
And then he hugged me to death so now i have to redo his favourite "The Convict" Asta. Now that i have redone the most complicated (except Black Adder, who is gonna be a bitch to rebuild and paint, remember YOU said it was perfect, well i can tell you the eyes will not be easy to redo at ALL ;o)

I hope you'll appreciate all the little tweaks i did on the way both on the CAS itself and the thumbnail on some (so i went for editor shots mostly)...i didn't feel like doing exact duplicates, so i went for improved versions (you tell me ;o)

good to know...i like ur CAS - as long as you dont MarKO me all the time lol with them - it is good to see a few are still passionate about CAS and want to improve - if ur patient enough to browse thru there is a wealth of info and design notes buried in the 60 pages of this very thread...

I have already begun to look through every page xD and I can see how passionate you are with your work. If there is a list of people that make CaS, your at the top in my book! And I'll be try to ease up in the fight a bit, I keep forgetting the lag is bad on your end xD

thanks for the praise - about cooler fights ... sure will enjoy that - i play very decently with 5 bars but 2-4 is usually a nightmare for me ! when i play Le Bello we try to win alternatively in decisive round while showing off nice moves- then we play no holds barred when connection is great or we just want to - also we tell each other which stage to choose for a specific match-up...and then we save replays for later viewing provided no AB ruined it - you can keep 8-16 replays for 1 save

Iron Golum is very cool, even though I was confused by him at first....what do you men by hand colored?.... I don't want to leave out the biker he is a lot of fun :) ... Great stuff... I know I missed something... But I am on my iPad and I hate typing on this thing....
