Well i can understand some of the complaints on here since anything 3 bars or less is god awful and if you know what you're doing well lag says forget it...Also I know this game is different from sc5, but if someone is constantly mashing buttons lets say on a 4 or 5 bar can't you just backdash and try to whiff punish? I imagine whiff punishing in this game is harder than sc5 simple because you don't have weapons meaning less reach. Not sure

I really don't advise using backdashes to induce whiffs in this game unless you're playing a zoning character like Ayane. Sidestepping would be much better for avoiding most attacks. Simply blocking then punishing accordingly is also advised. However when it comes to playing online on anything but 5 bars, fundamental DOA5 rules get twisted then chucked out the window.

Yeah, back dashing doesn't really work cuz the characters have strings that advance them like 3/4 screen, so scrubs just start a combo way out and eventually the third or fourth hit connects with you. And backdash is like tekken slow. Not sure if there's still a way to bdc anymore.

you can punish whiffs super easily with Kokoro's 214P. it's got damn good reach. you just gotta watch out for that stupid glitch.

GGs to ninjaguy446 earlier. You've got a mad good Helena! I wish our connection was a bit better because I'd love to see how deadly effective your Helena is in 5 bars. And yeah, I clearly showed that I have no idea how to deal with her -_-.

you can do it but they will virtually be moving only about a couple of millimeters. you'd be better off just backing up yourself while standing.

Trolololol, Ayane without spins is like Brad Wong without booze. It simply wouldn't work :P. You seemed to do a good job of slapping my Ayane into oblivion -_-.

Now you understand why I spin so much lol, but your Helena is very solid though, we should play again so I can learn your gimmic... umm for pure fun and leisure ;).
It was an interesting matchup though. Ayane always seems to gain new enemies after every match =(.
