Missing character discussion

You want to know whats true about her? She was "NOT" born with special abilities, her people trained her to have special abilities ok? She is a normal girl when she was born, she is just like Sophitia except she was blessed by the wind, with out that blessing she is nothing but a normal human being. She is just like Mina or Yong song a normal girl, don't trust the Soul Calibur Wiki so much, sometimes it's wrong. She is not in a spiritual level, stop saying that, that is not true, I created this character so I know what she really is. I really hated when people are just guessing about what are character is and won't listen to us the people that really made this character.
You should have the info to prove yourself before you quote me. Where's this info that's set in stone, that you're laying claim to and saying you 'made the character'. I don't know, maybe you did but there's nothing but air behind your words.

I'm not using the wiki, if you want to know. I have the games, seen the official SC website, and I've read her profiles. I theorized she was born with those wind potential because it stated in her profile her dad was a shaman, her grandmother was the village elder, and she could possessed unparalleled potential to be a shaman as well. It said nothing about her mother so I would guess that her mother was one of the few that wasn't born with the abilities. It doesn't make sense if she was unfaithful to her religion since she married the shaman, Talim's dad.
*I said above, that I theorized powers were both inherited and came through faith, explaining the decline in wind practitioners due to the spanish and portugese arrival with christianity.
During the watermill part, when Talim began losing her connection to the wind, it said in her profile she was heartbroken and that she was losing something that had always been a 'part of her'.

I do not have the audacity to claim 100% she was born with powers, but I did chuck out alot of reasoning and supporting info for my theory (did you even read the quote that you quoted). You spewed out nothing but claims without any meat to it and I'm more than irritated. I welcome intellectual arguments but I don't like wasting time on arrogant/empty quotes.

*Sophitia was just given a holy weapon, she wasn't really blessed. All of Hephy's warriors received the same oracle and weapons to destroy SE. If they were blessed, I don't think Aeon would have become a lizard, and then become a flying lizard that eats ppl.

And btw, you don't call having wind powers spiritual? Oh really? (>O.o) Zas, Kilik, Talim, Taki, hmmmm...

Spiritual the characters can be, but Talim's abilities can be interpreted as being able to determine where the wind blows, rather than having "Wind powers". Unfortunately Namco exaggerates this a bit (SC4), so now it comes off as her being able to achieve supernatural powers, thanks to her Critical Finisher (which I would rule as a quirk for the characters, rather than something they really can do), and her ending. That I really can't explain.

Kilik also qualifies as spiritual thanks to vital energy. On top of that, Kilik has both a Soul Edge shard, and a possessed staff.

Taki has ninja abilities, and a lot of chakra coming from her boobs. *clears throat* I mean Taki seems to be an exception with her ninja abilities (supernatural powers), but that can also involve having vital energy. Plus, The Soul Edge shard upgraded her a bit.

Now Zasalamel, he's just cursed, if you are referring to his Reincarnation abilities.

Zasalamel is an adept magician and he received that vision of the future he's trying to achieve. He's capable of controlling that skeleton assassin, Revenant to do his bidding, summoning illusions such as Xianglian and Arcturus, his black hole critical finish, and etc. His story is deeply interwoven with the spirit swords, right from the beginning where he hailed from the ancient spirit tribe to now. (I wonder what happened to Marienbard, Jacqueline and Auguste, the few last descendants though).

Taki has exorcising abilities to seal demons and the likes, though she failed with Natsu's case and is now guiding the young ninja because of that past mistake. She's a ninja who's also a demon hunter and yea, the Edge shard in her Mekki-Maru also trained/enhanced her abilities. Kilik is similiar to her like you said, and he trained in the Ling-Sheng Su temple for many years, and with Edgemaster to gain those abilities. Not to mention he hasn't aged after all these years gives that guy another point.

You're actually quite correct on that. Talim's main strength or most early talent has been reading the wind. She can sense what's happening and she could also sense that evil shard that the traveler brought to her village. But you forget that she's capable of purification by using the wind to perform the ritual. She was still young and since she has the potential to be a shaman, it's likely her 'wind powers' will further develop into attacks like her critical finish from SCIV.

Also while fighting Ivy in III he was able to cast fire, and he was aware of Valentine life, so I guess is safe to say he have at least spiritual awareness.

Kilik have the holy stone, with both Sophitia and Cassandra can imitate the power in some degree (Although Cassandra's is weaker) but I do think he felt Maxi growing darkness is some point.

I don't think CE would be so much of a clue, if so Sophitia can struck a lighting in peoples heads, Zas would be able to cast you away in another realm and Tira would suck souls with her kiss.....

Some critical finishes do hint to their nature. After all, Raphael's CF has him biting their necks and making them into minions and Taki's CF matched her ninjaness lol. For Zas, he would most likely know about Astral Chaos since its related to the two swords so his CF relating to him casting his enemies in there makes sense. But yea, some CF are weird. *glances over at Cassandra's less than elegant butt attack*

Am i the only one who prefers the new cast over the old one :o?
Eh, not really. Overall, I like the newer crew more.

Lexia>Xiangua (not by too much though. I love them both lol)
Xiba>Kilik (yet again not by too much.)
Natsu<Taki

Viola and Zwei were a great addition to series imo. The playstyles are very unique and stand out really well. Pyrrha is starting to grow on me a little bit too tbh. If anything, her play style is really fun. And Pat's really cool too.

And tbh, from the original cast, I really only miss Talim and Yun-seoung truly. They kept the majority of the original cast that I really cared about.

That's just me though.

What? People think Talim has wind powers? lol. Shes a normal human with a shaman heritage to my belief thus she has a 6th sense for spiritual presence. Her purity and devotion to the wind's entity as she considers it, is what lets her see the purity inside people to judge their true nature by their "hearts". (from what I got from SC4). She can clense people's demonic aura by invoking her own purity into them and showing them light. Basically she forgives people like jesus.. and can't be decieved by evil but can see through evil.. and apparently raise the dead.

Pff, thats way too underqualified to be in SC5. To get hired to be in SC5 you need to breathe Justice, be obessively hungry or cry a lot for no reason.

It's more like she reads the wind around them to sense if they're good or evil or tainted with SE. She either says 'There's no wind around you" or "Winds are swirling" against malfested characters when you taunt them in SCIV.
She purified the young boy by taking in all of his evil energy and passed it out to the wind, sort of similar to her SCIII ending.
I still lean towards the idea of her having wind powers not just because of believing in her religion, but like you said, heritage/bloodline. (Faith plays a major part yes). Otherwise, I'm not sure how it says she will be the last wind priestess. There still has to be ppl in her village that hasn't converted to the Spanish and Portugese push on Christianity and Talim would fully support her child in following in her footsteps.
*But we'll just have to see how she develops if she returns in future installments to be sure. Right now, it could swing either way with her identifying her powers. Whether it was developed, inherited or both. I'm going for the both part.
For the last part of raising the dead. It's something that's out of the natural order and I don't think Talim would follow it. I believe she just called on Arcturus's soul to help Algol move on to the spirit world in peace in her SCIV ending.

He is annoying right? You know, even though he is annoying I would believe him, because what he said was true..... You know why, because he is the bastard that took crash from me........ Even though I hate him, but what he says was mostly true....... This guy really did work for Namco in the Soul Calibur team, he got fired one year ago because of his attitude and because he is part of the old soul calibur team.

And you Kojima, stop using my acount to make comments like this, this is not why I gave you my account. I know you know a lot of things but people are hatting crash now because of you. Yes, most of the things you said is true but please don't be offensive, and stop acting like you know everything, it would only let people hate you, you did not create all the characters, infact you only created 6 character before you got fired so stop it. And besides why are you even joining the discussion with other players? You no longer work for Namco anymore, you can't decided anything, so stop arguing with these players and go do what you need to do.

You shut up!! This is not your business at all. I am sick and tired of you keep bugging me!

so he created talim?
The truth is I don't know, I only know he had creat 6 characters but I don't know is Talim one of them. That's why I said you "better" believe him not you "must" believe him because sometimes he likes to be exaggerate which is also why he got fired. I know him because my cousin also worked for Namco and they know each other for a long time, if he is being annoying just ignore him, once you ignore him he would stop.

Here it goes again, you know I can sue you by doing this right? Taking my account with out my full permission. You better do what you need to do or else you know what would happen.

If you created this character you should know she is no longer yours, after you set any form of art people will interpreted them as for free will, don't misjudges I am not saying you are wrong for wanting to state what is "true" but you no longer have the power to decide what people will think about her, your last chance was the last time you had her story in your hands, games are a for of art and like any artist they are open for any kind of interpretation.
