Lost Swords

And @Reprobean, but the PS Vita didn't sell very well. I don't think people without one (including me) would buy one, even for SC due to funds. But if it were on consoles also, then they can go nuts! :D
Yet it still saw releases like DOA5, Mortal Kombat, BlazBlue: CSE, Streetfighter x Tekken, Ultimate MvC3 and others. The Vita has been picking up steam as of late; don't think its unlikely to see Soulcalibur released on it too.

I wouldn't mind it being on PSVita so long as there is no lag with local Vs mode, and a good online mode. I would buy a PSVita just for a new SC, but of course I would prefer this to be a game for current gen consoles instead.

Wonder who the new guest character could be hmm...?
Hoping it'll be ported on the 3DS, namco did it with Tekken, flawless 60fps play even in 3D, don't see why it can't be done with this game.
If it's on Vita, I'll just buy it and play on my brother's (lol)

Hope the game/update will be released for both consoles and handhelds (a PC version would be icing on the cake.) Also, if they bring back the BigNig Zasalamel, then they have my money.

Sophitia is dead.

And she's coming back to life and returning to her role as a major and playable character, or I'm passing on this game like I passed on SC5.

I always find it kind of funny how people are always so willing to accept the last word on something as the only way it can be, and blindly take a company or person behind a game's word as gospel. If another fan says "This character can be brought back to life in the next game," people beholden to the company will say it's absolutely impossible and come up with all sorts of reasons for why it can't happen. But then as soon as the company actually does it, they pretend they believed it could happen all along.

I had this fun turn of events over Motoko in Blazblue, where people claimed she "couldn't" become playable because she was never shown fighting anyone, or because the game already has too many animal-based fighters, or too many NOL characters, and so on. But as soon as she was announced, suddenly she was the best idea ever and an inevitable addition.

Nothing about "Soul Calibur 6" hmmm....
I guess they're not gonna continue after the events of sc5.
Hopefully it's between the events of SC4 n SC5. Or soul Edge 2, between the events of Soul edge n SC1.That'd be awesome in my opinion.

As I mentioned, Lost Swords matches the way they ended SC5, so it's most likely a sequel that isn't using numbers.

For characters that have been replaced should a skin and their voice with their own intros, you win, you lose animations. I remember PS saying Taki was going to be in SCV since Natsu was confirmed as her replacement, but due to the time constraints that didn't happen as the completed story mode.

Your example is flawed. Lol Motoko wasn't dead. Sophie is dead. I mean, sure, if they wanted to add her saying the swords resurrected her then fine but the canon right now is she's dead. You have Tira to thank for that. I don't think you can be more unplayable then dead. Lol

Unless they give Elysium her moveset but Elysium is dead (?) Too I'm pretty sure and she can't exist without Soul Calibur, so.

No, my examples isn't flawed at all. This is a world with magic swords and alchemy, and also a world where Ivy can magically be acceptable as a returning major and playable character while Sophitia and Taki aren't included. The "logic" of death as it happens in our real world today is completely irrelevant.

This is what I'm talking about. "The company said this is canon so it can't be changed." Then the company changes it. "Great move, company! You're the best!" Excuses made on the company's behalf that are terribly flawed and based entirely in blind fandom for the company.

Okay, let me rephrase what I've been trying to say so this discussion will be over. Right now, Sophie is dead. Am I saying she won't return? Not once has that left my mouth. I'm saying that it's unlikely she return unless it's some SCVTTT2 type game. I'm not saying she can't or won't return. All I'm saying is that she's dead. So you can make whatever you want out of that.

Ivy's still in because of her..... assets. Taki's missing she'll likely be back.

That seems more of a personal problem, so I'll just leave that be.

Admire peoples optimism, but you guys can't honestly believe it's nothing more than a WiiU/PSP game or best case scenario a free to play thing like Tekken. But if it is an update of SCV I will cry from every orifice of my body while chucking money at my computer.

If it's a Super SC V with all of the content that was cut due to development deadlines (and even goes the extra mile by include all of the character customization DLC), then I would gladly buy it. Hopefully we'll find out what it's going to be (and not be disappointed) during Namco's Comic Con panel.

Ah, in that case I understand. In the sense of "she's less likely to be brought back to life," that's a reasonable stance to take, and probably accurate since Daishi doesn't seem to appreciate the character or her history with the series at all. That's different from what it looked like you were saying.
