punishing with iGDR

Doing some training mode experimenting, I'm not sure punishing -15 moves on block is even possible. If it is, we're talking 1 frame timing stuff. I was able to punish -16 moves (Cervy's 44aB), but the timing was tight. I haven't looked to see how many important moves are -18, but I could imagine players effectively punishing -18 or even -17 (like Yoshi's 3B) moves on block. But like Kowtow said, until we see it in practice...

Me personally, this looks like something I wouldn't try if I had a huge lead in a round because the risk of messing up is huge. On the other hand, if I'm way behind in a round, go for it. The combo might be what I'd need to turn the tide.

I don't know, I like punishing w/WS A a lot of times. I get an excellent 50/50 mixup:)

I do too, I think the debate here is over things that can't be punished with WS A, of which Hates gave us a pretty good list. But again some of those like Iceman said are 1-2 frame windows, and both iGDR if you hit the JF but do it late, or regular GDR if you miss the JF, are heavily punishable.

Whoever pulls this off in major tournament competition consistently is the best technical Cervy player, hands down. Must be pulled off in tournament play though.

There is another cervy player here in SA who almost never misses a punishment w/iGDR. Doesn't make you the best technical cervy cause you can hit this consistently, it's not THAT hard. Control your nerves, seperate tourney from casual play and just do the move. I know there are players out there that can hit this at all (I never practice it so I'm not one of them)
