[Seattle, WA] Ragin' in the Rain

I should be able to make it to Smash tonight. As far as this Saturday, it's a possibility but I'm not 100% sure yet.
Oh man I forgot about smash! I can't make it today I'll be at a family dinner (3 birthdays at once, it's crazy).
If it goes until 11 there could be a slim chance I make it there towards the end but I wouldn't count on it

So I should be there today at Gamebreakerz, but just to make sure I as long as I get there by 4:30 I should be able to enter the singles right?

Thanks to everyone that showed up at Gamebreakerz yesterday, we had a lot of fun. Congratz to Krynxe for making 3rd, that was a really good run. And congratz to heaton for beating me once again (and this time I don't get my salty run back).

Scrub. Anyways, hopefully I'm in a better state of mind next time we play so I don't try to troll like a dumbass.

calibur in december:
saturday slugfest @ gameclucks: https://www.facebook.com/events/427711330668048/
sc2HD @ gamebreakerz rewind to 09: https://www.facebook.com/events/675924929098721/

if we do slugfest, are we going to run scv or sc2hd or both? i personally do not want to see everyone drop scv in favor of 2hd, but this is something we need to talk about.

also, what flavors of cake do you folks like? other baking suggestions are welcome.
I say we should run both games, but ultimately its up to the TO's to decide what they want to do. Since they are usually strapped for time and setups, most likely they'll decide to run just one game. Since there so many who have that nostalgia for SC2, and no shortage of people to hate on SCV, the TO's will most likely drop 5 in favor of 2. Unless of course, we can keep our numbers up and consistent, and I would hate to see 5 get dropped because everyone decides to play SC2 instead only to drop it in a couple months. Anyways, the way see it we can still run both games at casuals, but for tournaments Capcom games take priority so we'll probably be forced to choose since running both would cut into the time and resources of the Capcom games.
Oh also, as far as cakes and sweets in general are concerned, I'll eat anything, but if you know how to make tres leches (three milks if you don't know Spanish) that would be fucking fantastic.

Pero no soy cholo way. Tres Leches=really fuckin good cake. Don't know if any of you Western Washington folks have ever had tres leches cake before since there aren't many Mexicanos on your side (most of them are on my side since that's where most of the orchards are located) but if you can find a Mexican store that sells cakes and pan try some tres leches. If they made it right, it is so delicious. If its all dry tasting they fucked it up.

we are almost certainly running both games at the next gameclucks. gameclucks is willing to accommodate us for whatever it is that we want to play, really - if we want to play both, we can play both, but we certainly will not get stream time for both. i figure that running both games is not something that we will be doing indefinitely, though, but we will see how things go, and what turnout is at gamebreakerz for the throwback event.

i hear good things about tres leches, never had it myself. i also hear that it is not very technically difficult to make, so i can probably toss it in my test-baking pile.

Hey guys, I got a problem!

Recently finally bit the bullet and bought a fight stick for myself so no more borrowing other peoples sticks! \o/ However, upon receiving it, I found out I ordered a PS3 one. This is great, because tournaments all use PS3. But this is bad, because I play on 360. I don't know if I should return it or not to get the 360 version of my stick. Is there a 360 to PS3 converter? Or a PS3 to 360 converter I can find? If I get the 360 stick, will that mean it will be unusable for all the events?

I'm no expert on sticks, but I'm pretty sure you can use a regular adapter. This is what I use to play with PS3 pad on a 360

Converters don't really work that well for sticks. Your better off either returning that stick for a 360 one since for tournaments I have a SC stick that I don't use so anyone can borrow it, or you can keep that one and just get it dual modded. Works better that instead of using a converter since they aren't meant for sticks.
Tres Leches isn't hard to make but it is easy to fuck up. Can't really explain how since knowing comes with having eaten it at many many birthdays and quiceneras.

I can give you a 360 stick, Blaccy. Two sticks, even! One is a hori, not a very high quality stick, but it hasn't been used much. The other is a TE which has seen a lot of use, I've had a couple of the buttons fixed after they broke a while back, but it should work fine now. The only reason I don't use it is because it's not dual-modded, and that's too much hassle for me now.

Sorry I couldn't make it to the tournament last Saturday. Had some issues at home I had to deal with. Who's going to make it down to Smash tonight?

Btw, Tres Leches is amazing! Coming from Arizona, it's pretty abundant there.
