But on scv they say sophitia died protecting her children
Eh, she'll find her way back. You really think they'd keep a character as popular as her from returning?

We also have to think about if there would be any time skip and what would happen if there was. They have taken out characters due to actual historical events before (I'm looking at you, Korea.)

:sc2vol2:I'm concerned for Voldo returning in 6. One story line I read said that pyyra (however you spell it) killed him after voldo almost killed patrokalos for intruding on the money pit. I would not be able to go on without the best character ever created!!:sc2vol3:

If that happens is just Voldo´s fault, everybody know that you shouldn´t mess with the infinite and absolute power of an Alexandra girl

Even so, I don´t think you have to worry much for that, they can always make something for him (and for anyone) to return, they can even say that in the end he wasn´t death beacuse this and that, it shouldn´t be a problem (I think they did something similar with Sophitia, wich at first she was death, but now is different since they changed the profiles).

I really don´t think they will put Voldo out of the series.

They better not. He has been in more games than the individual greeks have been. And his style is unique, like really unique. They can't just pass this on to another random character. It wont feel right at all. The Soulblade Veterans are like a dying breed, only Cervantes, Siegfried(I know he is NM in SC2, but he was still similar and even had a costume to look like himself) and Mitsu have remained the whole time. Hopefully Voldo too.

Who on earth can replace Voldo lol..... he can be 106 and still flexible as hell.

Knowing Ps tho,probably...

True, but no matter how unique it is, it can be replaced if they want, they can just put another character with his style and that´s it.

Sophitia was since Soul Blade and there we saw Pyrrha in SC5

And by they way, if I don´t recall wrong, Voldo hasn´t been in more SC games than Sophitia, they are equal, both started in Soul Blade, Voldo was in SC5 while Sophitia not, but Sophitia was in SC Legends while Voldo not. In the rest, they´ve been always there, same number of games.

Edit: Oh, and maybe Sophitia will be in more SC games, did someone see Voldo style in Lost Swords? I don´t remember if he was.

Not sure. I saw cervies though.

MK9/X-Men: Days of Future Past styled reboot?

Where a few of the new characters (Xianghua's kids, Natsu, and ZWEI) all travel back in time to just after SCIV in order to completely purify Soul Calibur of it's knight templar tendencies and save the Alexandra family from it's unfortunate fates (Patroklos losing his sister and mother; Cassandra in the Astral Chaos; Sophitia dying; Pyrrha being strung along by Tira)

Source for this storyline?

I really wouldn't worry about it. Seriously. Voldo survived the 17 year jump in time. Bitches will have to tag team to take him down. And even then he could pull a Cervantes.

At this point its hard for me to think about what should happen in Soulcalibur VI.
Well to be fair, it's always hard to predict what the next game will do...
  • Soul Edge: People from all over the world fighting over a pair of giant meat swords. Danish-looking Greek woman aids leotard-wearing ninja in the destruction of one of the meat swords. German knight takes the other, growing a giant arm that looks like a tree.
  • Soul Calibur: Asians use tiny ice sword in an attempt to kill wielder of remaining giant meat sword.
  • Soul Calibur II: Meat sword takes full control of its wielder. Swedish-looking Frenchman stabs meat sword in the eye with English rapier. Wielder becomes a German knight again.
  • Soul Calibur III: Immortal African sorcerer revives meat sword, which then possess an empty armor. Scantily clad, hula-hoop wielding teenage psychopath becomes a worshiper of the meat sword, kidnaps aforementioned Greek woman's infant daughter.
  • Soul Calibur IV: Frenchman is now a vampire for some unspecified reason. German knight uses a now gigantic ice sword to kill meat sword. Greek woman dies.
  • Soul Calibur V: 17 years later, Greek woman's son (now an adult) embarks on a quest to find his sister. Along the path, he discovers the once again tiny ice sword, which contains a naked woman urging him to kill his sister. He regrets his decision to obey her instantly, and travels back in time to kill the naked woman instead... while inside the sword.
Whoever finds a pattern will win an Internet.

I don't think knowing that Soul Edge will be being attacked again is worthy of any internet winning.

I would prefer a story more focused on the lengths Soulcalibur will go to destroy Soul Edge, under the guise of the greater good.
Kinda like V, but better written? Seriously... who cares about the life of one pathetic girl in exchange for Soul Edge finally being destroyed?

I actually kinda like where they we're going with Soul Edge in V. It's unusual, but this whole working-from the shadows, get-everyone-else-to-unwittingly-collect-souls would've been a neat idea had Nightmare not still been doing his rampaging-demon bit. Hey, Elysium could've had Patroklos doing the same thing Dumas was... telling him to kill random people she suspects are malfested in the name of finding a trace of Soul Edge because she doesn't know where it is and it's not showing itself...
In the end, I guess I'd like to see V's story fleshed out. It had a few interesting facets to it that weren't really expanded on or were just outright retconned mid-production... I'd really like to see Nightmare-Raphael happen.

Anyway, IIRC, it was never explained just how Soul Edge was revived again... I figure VI will shed some light on that.
