iCS/CS and SS information

I said that might theoretically work, but in reality that doesn't work unless you have a programmable hardware.

The input of iCS has a 40 frame window limit, and a full SS is 20 frames. So unless someone can actually manage to do 282846662_8 in less 20 frames (not humanly possible imo) it's not really possible.
I think the window they made (especially for this input) is a bit harsh.

Yeah, I use both my thumbs. I can perform CS without buffering it, but she never flashes white for me. I suppose I just need to practise the input more since I only learned CS recently and I don't really use Ivy.
...Hmm, what am I even doing in this SA anyway? :P

Isn't there a trick to iCS? I always do a two full rotations, starting left then right, and then reverse it.
There are several different methods you can use, but you should obviously use the one that suits you the best. Honestly, there's not a huge reason to try to get iCS instead of the normal CS since the damage difference isn't too much, and you can't buffer iCS.

The damage of a clean hit CS > The damage of normal iCS.

So it's better to take your chances with the CS since you can hide it a lot better.

So I'm sure this have already been said, but I'm far to lazy to read through all pages here,
A couple of days ago I met a Ivy player who buffered a CS by blocking my attack. Might not sound so special but when I looked up the replay and having his/her inputs on, the CS input was something like
:2::1::4::7::8::9::6::3::2::1::4::7::8::9::6:(Circle Circle B+G)
Hell, he/she could even delay it for something like stepping forward. I found this very facinating (if not disrespectfull to true CS) but I couldn't recreate this myself.
Mind telling me the "secret"?

In SCV, after Ivy inputs all the directions for CS, she has a window where she can do other things before you press B+G. During this window she can block attacks, GI, JG, etc. She even has time to press B+G twice and get two CSs.

I spent an hour or so practicing this before I thought, "How is anyone gonna not hear me buffering this?" How do you guys do mixups with this? Even in locals, which are fairly loud, people can clearly hear my stick flailing around when the input is so long.

Also I got the just frame maybe two or three times in an hour so I think I'll just do the normal version and not risk messing up the input from trying to do it too fast.

If you're buffering is loud enough for the other player to hear it, you better get used to buffering CS after as many situations as possible. Once you have it buffered you can mix it up with a mid such as 2A+B, 3B, or 3A or an A throw since they will be expecting to break B. After you establish that you don't always use CS after buffering it, you can start throwing it out during situations where it should be expected. And if you want, you can make really loud random inputs with your stick just to get them to fear CS.

The just frame of CS is not at all practical, and is rarely used in high level play. I wouldn't worry about learning it.

YEA, THIS IS ACTUALLY A PROBLEM IN TOURNEYS. YOU COULD TRY SITTING A FEW INCHES BEHIND THE OTHER PLAYER AND YOU COULD TRY ALTERING YOUR INPUT METHOD TO A QUIETER ONE. BUT THIS IS TRUE, IT'S QUITE EASY TO GIVE AWAY YOUR INTENTIONS WITH CS. THAT'S USUALLY ONLY A PROBLEM IF YOU 'RE PLOTTING IT WHILE THE OPPONENT IS IN WAKE-UP. IF YOU'RE BUFFERING AFTER AN ATTACK, THE OTHER THINGS GOING ON WILL DIVERT THEIR ATTENTION AWAY FROM THIS. I TRY MY BEST TO BE SNEAKY WITH IT. IT'S HARD, I KNOW.

I did this method and got a just twice and it was online ._.

Just frame inputs are easier online... I think they did it to account for lag... but it can throw off your offline game if you get too used to it.
