Game is coming out next tuesday (PSN)/wednesday (XBL) anyone else hyped for this or are you all just tired of waiting?
 
Hell yes. SF2 imo is the most beautiful fighter ever made as far as game design goes. New game founded on the principles of ST? Yes, please.
 
Hope the online play will be decent, I've been keeping up with Sirlin's blog posts and I can't wait to see the results of the rebalancing.
 
His blog posts are interesting, because you have the perspective of both a player and a designer. As a player, you want to find the most broken things that dominate the game, while as a designer you don't want something to dominate all the other options you include. Though I find it interesting how he decided to keep the tiers roughly the same. Can't really say whether or not that was necessary.
 
HD Remix will simply hold me over until SF4 gets released.

SF4 will simply hold me over until BlazBlue gets released on console.

As for who I'm using in HD, Cammy. Apparently she isn't as horrible in HD as she was in ST which is a good thing for me since I always used her in ST.
 
At first I was hype about it, then it kept getting delayed and getting closer to SF4's release date. I just saw that it maybe $14.99/1200MS when it drops next week. If that is the case, then I am definitely picking it up.
 
$14.99 is definitely worth it, hell T5:DR was twice the price and I'm sure I'll get more out of ST:HDR than I ever will out of T5:DR.
 
T5DR was not worth $40. I bought it when it went to $30. I only bought it because I was fiending for a fighting game at the time.

If HDR was going to be $30, then I would have passed on it and waited for SF4. I'm not paying $30 for a game I am only going to play for 3 months. But for $15 I would. So if it stays at that price, I will be spending the holiday playing that and SC4.
 
The Online play should be near-GGPO quality. Some GGPO stuff was used in the netcode.

Should be loads better then Namco netplay.
 
yes very tired of waiting... but still excited. For weeks I stopped by sirlins site to see his character specific updates.

It got moved up cuz of Thanksgiving. It drops on Tuesday on PSN and Wednesday for X360. I'm hyped because I've always been better at 2D fighters, so I can't wait to get online and start beating the shit out of people until SF4 drops in Feb. I'm just not as good with 3D fighters. Anyone else like that?

It's just going to be this and SC4 for me over the holiday. I was going to do some Black Friday shopping but this year I am skipping out on buying a bunch of stuff I will never pay off. I'm still trying to pay for the TV I bought in '06 but shit just keeps coming up and the car accident just put me more in debt.
