What I think they should do is that if some characters are missing in SCVI, at least include their costumes as DLC for CaS. Just popped into my head after seeing everyone wanting Hwang and Li-Long back. I also hope that Hwang returns, but if he doesn't they really at least have to include his costume.
Or what about this - do it like in SCIII! Make a bonus character section and add Hwang, Li-Long and others there!
Obviously my dream for SCVI Creation would be to have all character costumes ever, but since that's obviously not gonna happen, at least have all SCVI characters' costumes, like in SC:BD.

No one according to whom, you and your friends, or the surveys of the player base you took back when Maxi replaced Li Long in SC? If it seems like no one cared it's because most people didn't have internet back then to bitch about it online constantly. Companies used to rely on customers sending in the survey cards included with a lot games to gather information about what people did and didn't like. Also, most people got into the series when SC2 came out, so they wouldn't have had any knowledge of who was replacing who from the previous games.
Same could be said exactly for Hwang who also got removed before SCII (assassin barely counts). Hwang got one extra game which is Soul Calibur but both he and Li long disappeared in SCII and onwards.
One more reason why Hwang is more popular is due to the lack of his/Yun style that's completely gone. Maxi has a great backstory and is a playable/viable replacement. More people are giving priorities to the missing style and also care about lackluster replacement copies like Leixia and Yun. I personally am indifferent to her but she's pretty much a nerfed down Xianghua which resulted in ranking so low.

You don't understand that Xianghua will be godlike especially with how good 4A+B & 44B+K at making nearly all moves no longer matter. 4A+B leads to easy 80 DMG combos. 44B+K leads to easy 70 DMG combos. Their excellent aGIs. With Leixia it's balanced. With X it'll lead to 10-0 matchups.

Why is everyone assuming I want Li Long and Hwang back? Li Long is cool, but I could care less about his return. I was using those characters as an example of characters whose popularity grew after they were removed from the game, much like what happened with Talim. Also, someone mentioned something about Hoshino liking the older characters, but I doubt that matters because I remember Namco saying Hoshino was removed from his position as director for SC.

Where? His account is still the official PS twitter account and I'm sure it would've been news if they said that. They just said he can't reply to tweets, but he reads every one of them.

I remember them saying something about that a few months after Lost Swords flopped. I don't know, could be wrong. Anyways, something else occurred to me.

I highly doubt that fans are prioritizing who they want back based on whose style was missing from SCV because I see a complete lack of interest in seeing Zasalamel return from people in this thread, despite the fact that he was also removed from the game without a replacement. More people want to see Sophitia and Taki comeback despite them having replacements. Lets be honest, a lot fans only care about seeing their waifus return. Most people wouldn't give a fuck about Talim if she wasn't their jailbait, Philippina waifu.

Could you show me the source? I suspect you might have misinterpreted the title of "Hoshino silenced by Namco? News from Harada." because I could see how it could be interpreted that way. As far as I know however, Hoshino is still the director and producer of SC.

No, this was months before that. I remember seeing someone post it on the forums here. Don't remember where though.

Looks like that person, whoever was, was wrong. If Hoshino weren't in charge anymore, his account wouldn't be the official twitter account for Project Soul.

Idk why everyone hates the idea of new characters so much tbh - continuing with the same characters since the start has kinda gotten boring for me :// If the new characters were developed better, instead of being lame stereotypes and rushed caricatures, I think the storyline we already have could be fleshed out more and the franchise would be more successful. Plus I hate Sophitia's character, don't sue me.
