Cool I guess. The only thing that makes me think that this is true is that @Hayate has some of the same information that @Vergeben has. I can't see why a veteran competitive player from the French scene would lie to the community... so here's hoping.

You guys think there is a chance there will be Online crossplateform between PC and PS4 like for SFV? I don't think Switch will be a part just because of Guest characters.

Maybe that's the reason of the no Xbox version?

I edited and answered it but it slipped by, so here's a quote of just that answer

Sorry that I don't know yet.
Oh okay, sorry about that.

Anyways...

It's really funny that just 2 weeks ago, even though i always believed that SC6 was in WIP, i wouldn't really though it would be announce this year, at least not before E3 2018, but seems game will be finally reveal and sooner than i though, awesome, really hope game will be super great, and BN and PS learned things from their past games. I'm super confident =)
I had actually thought the series truly did die when we had nothing the past five years except F2P, mobile games, pachinko, and gambling games. I worried Project Soul was shut down without anyone telling us and Namco was trying to silently kill the series for some reason. It was brief, but still, a temporary loss of hope. Overall, I knew Project Soul couldn't have been paid just to sit on their asses all day, and had to be making something.

I guess it's true that the legend will never die, because it felt like it damn near did and recovered. Hopefully better than ever.

PS4 only does crossplay if XB1 isn't involved.

Namco isn't like Konami. Hoshino is wanting to make the SCVI the best it can be. SCIIHD & Lost Swords wern't major projects.

What makes you think Switch is the only platform with guests?

Which is a shame because Microsoft has made it very clear they want crossplay on all platforms, yet Sony won't budge. I'm also not sure if they've ever crossplayed with Switch, either.

Alright I'm gonna make a mistake here and start planning for the future when nothing has been set in stone yet, but what are the best channels to subscribe to and what are the best sites to frequent if I want to really learn Soul Calibur in depth?

I played SCV a lot but only casually with friends, I plan to go all out this time in SCVI.

Not sure. SCV kinda predated the dedicated channel thing by a little bit when it came out, and we've had nothing since 2012. I'm sure there are plenty of FG general channels that will cover it though.

I remember struggling to find a place to study the game back in SCV days but I found this site really helpful before, that's why I came and registered when I heard about the leak haha.

I also watched a bit of EVO 2012 and watched ShiningDecopon win with Tira which warmed my heart as a Tira player

From my experience this is the easiest fighting game to learn; if you have experience from the last games you also get legacy moves so that helps

I've been thinking that it's kind of a bummer that SCVI entered a mini development hell and they couldn't unveil it when they originally intended. The 20th Anniversary event on Facebook would've been an epic moment if it were leading up to the announcement of SCVI just like they wanted, instead of being the point where many gave up hope on the series when the whole thing fizzled out. Oh well, they'll get it over it when SCVI truly is announced.

If you want to learn Soulcalibur competitively this is the best site to come to honestly. Once SC6 is announced this place will be really active. Knowledgeable veteran and top players will be in charge of the Soul Arenas here for each character where you can find strategy guides, optimal combos, frame data, and general fighting game knowledge.
There's also a couple facebook groups you might want to join for competitive play, like "Soul Calibur Competitive Players" and "School of Soulcalibur". You can find players from all levels even tourney players.
As for youtube I'd recommend Party Wolf's channel. He's a pretty active youtuber when the game is fresh. Another channel that might make a comeback for SC6 is "SCTier".
Sorry I don't have links, I'm at work.

If you are looking for channels Party wolf and marginal make youtube vids. Pw even made basic tutorials.

Microsoft is wanting crossplay because they are becoming #3 with Switch beating XB1 every month since release. Sony wanted crossplay last gen because PS3 was #3. Sony wants PS4 to stay #1.
