It's gonna be so nice to get actual news lol like just imagine a trailer with Sophitia vs Cassandra, or Ivy vs Taki since they had that rivalry in the SC2 opening. Also, I'm so excited to see how beautiful everything will look, from the models to the stages.

One thing I hope they keep are some of the new moves from Lost Swords. Sophie had that lunging mid kick 44K that tech crouched that was pretty cool.
Yeah, I feel like SCVI is going to make me forget all the bad stuff about the series for the past six years when we know for sure it exists.

OH MY GOD! If they give Mitsu his kB from Lost Swords I'll have a baby. Partywolf KNOWS how much I loved that damn move in that game.

False. They said that the claim about a sixth game was a misinterpreted joke. They never outright said it couldn't happen nor that no announcements would be made. Hell, Geoff even said that there will be more big reveals at this event than any TGA prior.
Geoff also said on Twitter that the reveals would be for already announced games (or so I understood).

But as usual, I really do hope I'm wrong!

Also I want to touch on something after discussing this with a couple of people who were there. We all got to talk to Daishi at one of Big E's tournaments after the game got announced. What he said he was planning to do gameplay wise was entirely different from the game we got. During that 2 hour Q&A he was talking about making the game more dynamic with things like more aGIs to encourage people not to turtle, faster and more free movement, an expansive story mode etc. It wasn't until that earthquake hit out there that we started getting things like, making the game easier for newer players with smaller movelists and all that silly shit. I've always suspected that their plans were completely cut short and that they were hampered in so many different ways that we couldn't possibly know. Trust me I wouldn't defend those guys as this past game was my least favorite in the series for a myriad of reasons but I know what they were excited to make was not what we were given.

Nobody ever said SC6 would be announced in TGA. In fact, from what I know, its announcement was always meant to be at a tournament.
But that's what everybody understood from an out-of-context sentence. And where was it said it would be during a tournament? As someone pointed out in this thread, it would be one of the worst ways to announce it.

I personally am waiting/hoping for the 15th. But if by chance nothing is announced this month I'm sure we'll get something by the next. I hate the wait but I truly feel like we're getting something in the foreseeable future so I don't feel as hopeless.

The earthquake hitting during the middle of SCV's development is something many people overlook when complaining about the incompleteness of SCV. And it was quite amazing meeting Daishi, I talked a bit of Dampierre with him since back then I was using Damps a lot on the PSP version. I'll never know for sure if it's coincidence or if he actually did remember my suggestions, but the only two things I asked him to give Dampierre was exactly what was added to him. Everything else was essentially the same moveset as SCBD. Those two things were the triple barrel roll, in the PSP version Damp only did 1 roll, I thought it was lame and back in the SC3 days I mained the bonus character Revenant for some time who had a triple barrel roll. I mentioned that to Daishi and now in SCV doing the Brave Edge version can turn the single roll into a triple. The other thing I told him was that his while rising A+B UB sometimes got in the way of a combo I like which requires instant A+B from crouching. Now in SCV the UB can be canceled if you pull it off by accident. Anyway I really hope that we get a similar experience for SC6 as we did with Daishi in terms of community interaction and feedback.

Using Tekken as an example doesn't seem very fair, considering that historically SC has done well on the Xbox platforms they were released on (Hell, SCIV on X360 actually outsold the PS3 version). Tekken built its following on the PS brand, so that's why they sell so well.
The Xbox One tanked in Japan, and has only really managed to retain a distant third place in the US. It is the smallest market for a dev to target at this point. T7 hasn't even gotten an Xbox One X patch.

About Talim, great to see her back, even though tbh it's not that a big of a surprise since i expected her to be back, it was a given just by the fact that she was #1 in the Poll, the real question is how she'll be overall in the game, never used her but still very excited to see how she'll be and play in the game.
I'd say our old favorites are guaranteed at this point. Kilik w/ staff, Xianghua, Sophitia, Talim... I think Hoshino knows what's up.
