Cosmetic & fanservice like this? hugh... no thanks

Sure this is way better than having a legit Soul Calibur character (new or veteran) as post launch DLC, kappa.

SFV is the only fighting game where you can purchase post launch characters with ingame currency, just saying.
I won't be bad as long as it's not the ONLY thing we get as DLC.

Looking at you, DOA5.

Well when you see that FFXV (for example) had full stories as DLCs that were released afterwards, same with Injustice characters that were planned a long time ago... I love these games but I'll only buy the Complete editions, it's so lazy to plan DLCs without finishing the games...

I do agree that some games have awesome DLC policies, but these days it's really milking people...
The least we can do is have faith. If the leaks are right, SC6 was already delayed because they were not ready, and we know SC5 was bad because it was rushed, so it seems they're aware of past mistakes. Maybe their DLC practices will be fair too.

I wouldn't mind old bonus characters getting fleshed out as DLC, like Revenant coming back with wave swords. Or really old characters returning, like Hwang or Li Long.
That would be awesome, many characters could benefit from this and many deserve to benefit from this.

How have you liked a nwe character with new fightingstyle called... Patroklos in SCV?
There is always a chance fans won't like new character and won't buy it as a result and taking such risks is unreasonable, when you have 100% bets like guests and returning old characters.
People's hate for Patroklos was not for him being a new character, it was because he was poorly introduced into the series. Patroklos (and many other SC5 newcomers) entered the series taking the place of beloved characters and the story didn't help us like any of them, with Patroklos and Pyrrha being specially repulsive when compared to the characters they were replacing. Had Patroklos been introduced in a game alongside his mother and with better story, things would be different.

Evidently a lot of people were buying it if ran on for as many years as it did. I'm done arguing this shit with you.
You're done because you have no arguments.

No, I'm done because dealing with someone like you makes me want to pull my hair out.

And the game is incomplete otherwise because of a small roster and no single player content. Not to mention that buying with in-game currency takes forever. Its an unfinished game where you have to grind or buy to have content, its bad.

This. Sexy DLC is fine, and its actually good to have, the problem is if all you have is nearly-hentai stuff and only for one gender.

Capcom has the best DLC practice as far as fighting games go.
Yes, release an unfinished game and make people pay for the rest. Best practice ever, 10/10.

No, I'm done because dealing with someone like you makes me want to pull my hair out.
Not having arguments make you pull your hair out? Buy a wig.

It's funny how we have arguments about DLC for a game that doesn't even officially exists yet, lol.
It doesn't have to.

Anyways, let's pray that tomorrow will be the day Soulcalibur VI gets announced!
I don't mind even if its December 15, as long as they reveal it.

No, it's because your arguments so idiotic that it's not worth it to deal with you.

The game was bare bones at launch i agree, but the gameplay is so solid, with a very unique roster, also the post launch is really great. The game has way too many quality that many people don't even see because "it didn't have arcade mode at launch"

And the Arcade mode is coming soon, and it's looking to be the best Arcade mode ever. It's funny to see people praise Tekken 7 because it has Arcade mode, while this one has only 5 matches, no ending and basta.

SFV will soon enter its 3 rd year and it's still feel fresh and new, and the game will keep growing and moving forward by adding characters, costumes, stages, gameplay mechanics, new moves, more game modes, update its netcode and even more. Comparing this situation to SCV for example where the game came out in 2012 and since then we got nothing in 5 years, it really blow my mind to see a Soul Calibur fan saying that SFV sucks lol.

Of course i don't like Unfinished games, but i'd rather have an unfinished ones that will keep going on and improving/adding contents (as soon as the core aspect are solid), rather than a bit more complete game but will stop updates right soon after launch, and then all i have to do is wait for the next installment that will hit in 5 years lol, personal opinion of course.

As long as Namco supports the next game for more than one half assed shitty patch it will be ok. The rest doesnt matter to me. Just dont stop after one shitty fucking patch this time please.

You want 5 shitty fucking patches this time? At least we know who to blame when this happens.

Speaking of Mitsu, please give him a cloth Samurai costume this time as well as the armoured one. His SCI 2p and SCII 3p are 2 of the best costumes in the series.

This! Almost all of my favorite costumes for Mitsurugi are the ones like his SCV 1P and SCIV 2P, where there's more cloth pieces as opposed to armor. His armored designs tend to look kinda weird.
Especially his SCII 1P, I have a love-hate relationship with that one.

Yeah, no. My arguments are from the perspective of someone who sees the obvious.

Macaulyn speaks nonsense. Even Nyte was right about Killer Instinct.
Says the one who thinks Crapcom has good DLC practices.

Solid gameplay doesn't justify everything else being bad. People use that as an argument but its like saying "Hey, this food is bad, but at least its edible", the least that food should be is edible, just like the least a game should have is solid gameplay. Also, the roster is small and there is nothing unique about it, in fact, it started with ONE newcomer. Also, Arcade is a basic fighting game feature, if a game doesn't have that its automatically garbage, it should have been in that crappy game from the start. You purchase a full price game and only receive a quarter of it.

I ask if YOU know it. Games are not made exclusive just because a company that owns the console also owns it, do you truly think Bayonetta is owned by Nintendo? Even if its not an exclusivity contract, Microsoft did not always own Killer Instinct, and could easily sell it again, specially considering its not doing that well. Also, yes, Mario should go to other consoles, Nintendo's gimmicky consoles only survived because of these exclusives, but they also ruined many games that could have been awesome (latest Star Fox, for example). Nintendo would be much better if they were just game developers.
im sorry but this makes literally no sense. If a console company owns a franchize there is no way they are releasing it on a direct competitors console. Also there is no way they would sell a franchise on a whim like that, KI was still profitable.
Just because you want Mario, zelda or other exclusives that companies funded THEMSELVES to go to other competitors consoles doesn't mean such an idiotic business decision would happen.

That might be true, and I agree to a point, I don't think that you can say "hey we have the best balanced game ever so that's it!" If there was only a single fight option, everyone would freak the fuck out and rightfully so.

But I would rather, and I think that the majority will agree with me on this, have fun, interesting, balanced gameplay over a "time attack" mode. Or hell I would love a rich and deep story minus an arcade mode.

That being said, I want another Legendary Souls kind of mode because that shit was fun (despite being fooled by simplistic patterns like Viola's 6B+K)

Of course this is "acceptable" to me, this is purely cosmetic and useless. DLCs should be for those who want it, not something required to enjoy the full game.

Usually characters are planned ahead of time and most of the time they are nearly done when the game is released, that what I hate most about characters as DLCs. If a DLC is released like 2-3 months after the game, it's quite certain the character has been ready for some time. If they want to release thing,
The least we can do is have faith. If the leaks are right, SC6 was already delayed because they were not ready, and we know SC5 was bad because it was rushed, so it seems they're aware of past mistakes. Maybe their DLC practices will be fair too.
To me, SCV DLCs practice was nearly acceptable: if the DLCs were NOT the characters' clothing, it would have been awesome, but again it was just a lazy way to get money via disc-locked content.

The only idiotic thing here is thinking that this would not be profitable. Also, KI is not profitable, its been an useless corpse for a long time. Only idiots like you and Nyte don't see it.
