The game was bare bones at launch i agree, but the gameplay is so solid, with a very unique roster, also the post launch is really great. The game has way too many quality that many people don't even see because "it didn't have arcade mode at launch"
And the Arcade mode is coming soon, and it's looking to be the best Arcade mode ever. It's funny to see people praise Tekken 7 because it has Arcade mode, while this one has only 5 matches, no ending and basta.
SFV will soon enter its 3 rd year and it's still feel fresh and new, and the game will keep growing and moving forward by adding characters, costumes, stages, gameplay mechanics, new moves, more game modes, update its netcode and even more. Comparing this situation to SCV for example where the game came out in 2012 and since then we got nothing in 5 years, it really blow my mind to see a Soul Calibur fan saying that SFV sucks lol.
Of course i don't like Unfinished games, but i'd rather have an unfinished ones that will keep going on and improving/adding contents (as soon as the core aspect are solid), rather than a bit more complete game but will stop updates right soon after launch, and then all i have to do is wait for the next installment that will hit in 5 years lol, personal opinion of course.
