The info from that date on the website was already revealed. The date says 'December 8th, 2017". It's already the 9th in Japan.

More opportunity for badass characters and extra appeal to hypemen from respective consoles. They could do one guest per console and then one universal character. Plus, their respective IP owners would only own the character, not the moveset, nothing would stop them from letting the moveset be used in CAS on other consoles.
edit : And female guests because women in video games are badass. Senua from Hellblade in Soul Calibur?? Fck me up fam.

Well, those were guest-designed bonus characters, but they didn't hail from any existing properties. Also... Amy? Huh?

I'd just prefer having a universal guest that anyone can use, it's just easier that way so no one is missing out.

No one would be missing out that way though. The movelist would still be there. If they cared that much about the character themselves wouldn't they have bought the console they came from to play the original game? Lol.
