Which of the "New" Characters from V Would You Like to Return?

Z.W.E.I. became my new secondary for V since my last secondary, Setsuka, was replaced by Patro. Z.W.E.I. was a very appealing character to me but his playstyle felt like it needed some fine tuning. He's pretty much my only choice for returning character. If I had to choose another, it'd be Viola since her style is unique and her and Z.W.E.I.'s stories are tied together.
 
I could only pick two so it was Zwei and Viola, not just cause they were my mains but because it never feels right to just toss away a new unique moveset as you go from one game to the next, it would also be nice to maybe get a proper introduction to whatever their backstory was since SCV was so light on their place in the world.

Making my unofficial third vote for Xiba because a Sun Wu Kong type guy would be cool to actually have in the game, Xiba was kind of wasted potential in that area due to them thinking he had to replicate / replace Kelik's playstyle.
 
Viola had the most interesting playstyle to me.

But I'm guessing none of these characters will make a comeback, it seems they're heavily pushing on the nostalgia factor with young Mitsu and Sophitia. I just hope we have separate Sieg and Nightmare.

I looked it up and you're right, sorry. I guess the fact they started using his actual name is what threw me off. I always assumed that because of the name and the fact he was bigger, had wings, breathed fire, and didn't even use the same weapon that he was a different character altogether.

Never too late to lament the fact that SC5 had no story for most of its characters.
 
Unless we're going to add time travel, relatively few of the new characters even can return. Viola is clearly Amy, so we'd need to have Amy make a much earlier debut (but with her being a vampire, that would not necessarily be a big problem) and also become Viola much earlier (somehow chalked up to Sophitia's meddling with the timeline).

That's it, really. The rest weren't even born during SCI.

I assume you mean the storyline should cover her origin story turning into Viola?

Not necessarily, just that Viola is the only character that's new to SCV that could make an appearance in SCVI unless we throw in time travel, whether we cover Amy's transformation into her or not. But, yes, I would prefer her transformation into Viola to be included in the story mode.
 
I know this series isn't exactly known for having thought provoking and unique personalities when it comes to the characters but the SCV newcomers are nothing but walking anime tropes. Most of them are one dimensional, unlikable and uninteresting. The fact that some of them didn't even appear or only had brief moments in the story only makes it harder for me to care about them. Hell, the two that do take up most of the screen time were more insufferable than the rest so maybe it wouldn't have made a difference.

Gameplay wise, Natsu, Xiba and Leixia are too similar to the characters they took the place of to be worth bringing back. Assuming Cassandra and Lizardman are coming back as well as the already announced Sophitia, we don't really need two more shield characters so the Alexandra kids are out. ZWEI and Viola are the most unique characters of the bunch but I don't really care for ZWEI as a character and Viola still gives me PTSD.

TL;DR None of them.
 
ZWEI or, preferably, a new character with his style. I suspect we're going to get a return to larger move lists and ZWEI would really benefit from this, especially if he gets a good number of new stand moves.
