100%. I'm all in on a lot of my old SC4 characters, but who I end up playing vs who ends up a pocket character is heavily gonna depend on how Frame Data looks.

Doesn't matter how good my footsies are if her frame data is like SC4's.

Please tell me you're coming back full-time for SC6!!! :sc3set1:

I'm a SC5 player, so I know nothing about Mina. Can someone explain why she was bad? Or what was wrong with her frame data? And how would you fix her for 6?
Mi-Na was a zoning character, a lot of her good moves were given to Kilik in the transition between SC III and IV, which means a lot of times she didn't have the tools to make use of the distance she was able to build, besides that she also had poor damage and was generally unsafe. And to top all that, Mi-Na had (and still has) a tip range mechanic, the blade of her weapon has very different proprieties including a different hit box from the staff, so you always want to hit with the blade to play her optimally, but while Mi-Na could build up distance, maintaining such distance was another thing completely.

The one good thing she had was her Guard Crush game, it was really good, but that was assuming you could hit your opponent.
Mi-Na also have a great a+g grab, it literally allows you to spam the move to catch wake up, because it keeps the opponent in range.

Fingers crossed she's playable this weekend @ Ring Out. Super curious as to what her Lethal Hit conditions will be.

Hi everyone. I've been out of the forum for years (since sc5 came out) but since Mina's back, so am I. I'm very happy to be able to play her again, even if she ends up bottom tier again.

With the help of the people here I was able to win quite a bit, even if I'm not a competitive player. And it's awesome to see some users stuck around.

Anyway, back on topic. What do you think about her new design?

I'm going to be making a custom variation of her new design where I change nothing other than giving her a proper top. The undersized bikini just isn't doing it for me. It's fine otherwise.

It was okay in SoulCalibur III, a bit better (felt more natural) in SoulCalibur IV, but here in SoulCalibur VI, not so much. Reminds me of Yoko Littner from Gurren Lagann.

Lol hatin on Yoko. (<<< though there are reasons to dislike her in the show, lol)

Man, when I saw Mina's new outfit, my first thought wasn't, "Hey look! Underboob showing!" I just liked the pink and purple color scheme, the arm sleeves, and the floral design pattern. It's crazy how any sign of "sexualization" like this makes people all riled up, lol. It's not like she's turned into SC4 Ivy.

That wasn't my first thought, either. I was initially the same, this looks neat, she's never really rocked pink and purple like this, pretty cool, stylish, then whoops, underboob, kinda clashes with the elegance factor.

As far as the trailer, that first launch she does seems to be well inside tip range, so the "tip range mechanic" may not restrict her tools as much as it did in SC4.

Yeah I'm not a fan either, that bikini thing is weird. I do like how it's attached to her sleeves though.

So I'm watching the TGS vids.....

Any concrete information regarding the tip range mechanic? I've seen multiple 3Bs launch and it hit well inside what would be considered "tip range". Maybe its just me.

Will post my thoughts later. She's looking good at first glance.

2:53 & 3:05

At first I thought I nailed it, but then realised the former 3B was from an attack CH. Darn, we might have to wait a little longer. Anyway this is the most decent footage of Mi-na from TGS so far lol.

Just to add as well that long range launcher on whiff is gonna be punisable, I guess a tradeoff is that it'll be safe(r) if spaced properly on block.....
